Topic: RE: Anyone else slow loser like me?
40 pounds since 7/13 - my doctor says that's less than his average. Since I went 3 weeks without losing weight I guess I'm not a slow loser. Have you had stalls - or are you consistently losing weight? My doctor tested my metabolism when I wasn't losing and told me to eat a more when I hit a stall because I actually have "faster than normal" metabolism. That was quite a surprise!

Thanks for all the breakfast ideas, I finally settled on 1/3 banana and half a Powercrunch bar, I get them at Nutrisport, have only 10gm carbs and 14 gms protein , sometimes i still have eggs or cheese, will try the turkey bacon and quiche idea, not too sure about grits but thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate everyone taking the time to give me ideas....deb

Topic: What did you eat?
Hi July forum, I had the RNY on 7/31/06 and I'm already down -40lbs. I feel very good. But I'm hoping we can share some menu ideas. What did you eat yesterday? B-Oatmeal-about 1/2 portion L-1/2 panini grilled chicken sandwhich with spinach. I removed the bread, cut up the chicken in very small pieces, got extra dressing for dipping each piece before I chewed, chewed and chewed again. It was much easier to eat this way. D-Taco Bell - 1 serving of pintos with cheese. It is the perfect size and its only .89cetns. S-some cut up fruit. Water, about 32 ounces. multivitamin and calcium(tums) Maryellen I'm making filet of sole tonight, anybody have any tasty suggestions?

Topic: RE: how will i throw them away??
I know how you feel, I put all my summer clothes in a garbage bag and next summer i'll give them to one of the girls at support group meeting, thats what we usually do at ours, if anyone wants to take the old clothes that are too big for us they can and it saves throwing out and them alot of money and when they are finished with them then they give the clothes to someone else...I know I have to go try on a jean or 2 at walmart or target or kamart cuz mine are getting too baggy and look bad so I wanna get one or 2 pair lol. have a great day everyone

Sandy, I was raised on grits. In fact, that's what I have every morning for breakfast. I buy the instant packets for quickness getting ready for work. I have what equals 1/2 packet, which is about 1/4 cup. Then I melt a 2% sliced cheese on it for protein. I used to mix scrambled eggs in my grits before surgery. How do you measure a tablespoon of egg now? Do you scramble it and put it in? Heather
