Hi Amber and All!! I FINALLY remembered to come by here on a FRIDAY vs. a week too late! LOL 1. What types of food did you eat this week? My usual, yogurt, veggies, a veg chicken patty, soup and of course my almonds! 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Um, yikes! A few walks with the puppies, but not enough. I suck! Finally decided to join a gym vs. getting equipment at home. 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? My scale sucks! I'mnot sure. As of last weekend I weighed 315, but I could be near 310 now. Mondayis 3 mo. follow-up - that will be the TRUE test! 4. What was your biggest challenge? Old habits sneaking in...snacking has begun to resurface. 5. Are you measuring your inches? How many pants/shirt sizes have you gone down? Inches yes - as of now 39.03 GONE! WOO HOO! *Fun bonus question: Are you superstitious? Will you be avoiding anything today? Not superstitious much! Yes, avoiding hard work LOL

1. What types of food did you eat this week? The usual, but I tried a Grilled Buffalo Chicken Wrap from Tropical Smoothie. I ended up just taking the pieces of chicken out and eating them by themselves. It was good. I'm just a carnivor. I also had crap stuffed shrimp for the first time. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? I sucked in this department yet again. However, I found out that Gold's Gym is only charging 35$ a month and they have ALOT of classes, the hours are good, and they have a fitness cinema. That sold me. I'll be joining soon. 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? I lost 4 lbs this week. 56 so far, woohoo! 4. What was your biggest challenge? I had a very busy week, late night meetings & vball practice. Needed more energy. 5. Are you measuring your inches? How many pants/shirt sizes have you gone down? I haven't measured myself for the month of October yet, but I went from a 26 to a 20 in pants and I have one 14/16 shirt I can wear. Mostly 18/20's though. *Fun bonus question: Are you superstitious? Will you be avoiding anything today? No, and 13 is my favorite number!!! Amber 300 - 244 - 169 (pre-op, current, goal)

Hey surgery twin! Glad to see the good report. That is so awesome!!!! I'm right there with ya. I did my labs Wednesday but my appointment got moved to November 3rd, so I won't know what the results are till then. I've been eating normal food for quite some time, so its not so exciting to me, but I love it when others get to, that's great. I have no been exercising appropriately, but I'm joining a gym soon and I'll get my butt to work. Friday Five is up, i'll have my stats there! Have a great weekend, Amber

Aloha ShelleyAnne.....You are doing so great!! I can feel the energy and happiness in your words. You are a whole new person. Your weight loss is amazing. I wish I were losing as fast, but so far not quite 40 for me with surgery on July 26th. But it's coming off...slowly but surely and that's what counts. I just started doing aqua aerobics today and that felt wonderful. So I think I'll be doing pool work six days a week. I'm still not up to going to a gym unless maybe Curves which is all women. Keep up the good work!! Aloha nui loa, KarenS

Hi Everybody! I got the usual vampira, 7 tubes of blood drawn last Thursday and the results received at surgeon's office on Tuesday.... DRUMROLL, please!! They all were excellent! I am thrilled. All my levels are great and so I am doing it right, for now. I just started eating fruit and veggies and a salad never tasted so good. I have only done the lettuce and tomato with a spritz of dressing so far, but heck I am happy with that for now. I also ate 1 piece of a peeled apple with some peanut butter on it... YUMMO! So I am in the next part of the journey, which is more returning to normal life syndrome, with a twist. I LOOK FANTASTIC and FEEL EVEN BETTER. I bought a size 10 pair of CALVIN jeans... HELLO!!! UNREAL!! 3 months next Thursday and I have lost 54 lbs. I never challenge the pouch. Have never thrown-up or dumped in any other way and except for a couple of times with some pain due to eating too fast or too much, I have had no complications or ill feelings from this surgery. No hair loss, yet. No more stress incontinence. No more sleep problems. No more aching joints just to walk up and down the stairs. Heck, I started a walk/jog program 3 weeks ago and am up to 2 miles running with 3 miles walking, 6 days a week and workout with a personal trainer 3 times a week for 30 minutes a session. I am getting toned, muscular, fit and healthy. Maybe I will not need a wagon to cart the skin around, huh? giggle giggle. Anyway, hope all you July babies are doing just as well. Wishing you a wonderful journey. ShelleyAnne
