Thanks so much to both of you. I'm very proud of myself, but it really has been the hardest thing I've ever done as I'm sure you'll agree! I've had some big bumps in my road! I'm faithfully taking my vitamins, I ate a banana this morning, the whole thing instead of sharing, and I always have a water bottle in hand ... I have been running to the bathroom so much! LOL Take care and best wishes to both of you. Jan

Topic: RE: Weeding the Closet.... Help
I've been feeling the SAME way. I had some really nice clothes, clothes I loved to wear and now they're 2-3 sizes too big and are falling off. I also find that by keeping the baggy clothes on, I was actually making myself look bigger than what I've become. I was wearing a pair of jeans that had been too small for me before the surgery and were too big (like a whole size or two) and then I bought a pair of 18's and 16's (I'm kind of in between depending on style). I wore the now fitting new pants to work and everybody is amazed at how small I look, from one day to the next. So, I decided that if I'm going to lose the weight, I'm going to enjoy it and look good in the process and I can't do that by wearing clothes too big for me. I'm lucky in that I can give most of my big clothes to my mom and the clothes I'm wearing now or that have just recently become too big can go to my sister. That makes it easier, but it does feel good to give them to someone who needs it. I am enjoying shopping now because I can shop in the "regular" clothes sections (NO more plus sizes!). I wear either a L or XL in shirts and a 16 or 18 in pants. I have found that going to Wal-mart, Target or JCPenney (When there's a good sale) is the best bet for me. I don't buy a whole new wardrobe, but find that a pair of jeans and a few tops can get me buy. Sweaters last a while, cause even if they're too big, it's okay. GOod Luck and hopefully we can all be happy about giving our clothes away! I know I'm working on it!

1. What types of food did you eat this week? I had a grilled chicken salad today and was SOO excited... just started eating lettuce this week. I also have had bbq pulled pork (from a sandwich, don't really eat the bread), spaghetti, chicken enchilada (again, not so much the tortilla but the meat), oatmeal, teryaki chicken, chicken again... I'm kind of a chicken'aholic, lol. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? I jog almost everyday. I had gotten up to 6 days a week last week but this week could only get a couple of days in. 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? I can't remember from last week but I want to say about 5lbs or so. Total loss is 55 lbs since surgery, almost 70 since my highest. 4. What was your biggest challenge? My work schedule. We had PSAT testing, meetings, conferences, etc. I got home late every night and am feeling exhausted today. I should go work out but just want to take a nap. 5. Are you thinking about plastic surgery yet? Yeah, it's been on my mind a little. I'm almost POSITIVE that I'll get a boob lift. I haven't lost much of anything there, so size isn't an issue, but saggie elsies don't belong on my 27-year old body, lol! I think my tummy might be okay, but it's still too early to tell. My arms are really iffy too, but I'll have to wait and see what it's like once I'm through everything and see how much my skin bounces back. *Fun bonus question: If you could have any job you wanted, what would you do? I'm lucky enough to say that I have it. I'm a teacher and I absolutely LOVE it. I think it's the best job in the world and wouldn't want to do anything else in the work force. Now, I do hope to someday be a stay at home mom until my kids are in 1st grade, but we'l lsee...

Topic: RE: How much weight has everyone lost to date?
I'll be three months out next week (can't wait to eat LETTUCE!), and have lost 70 lbs. as of today. I started high, and weigh 5'9", and am 30 (like pp said!), but I have been bad at working out. Once I can get that going, I'm confident the weight will fall of sooner. I need to lose another 30 lbs. by Christmas to hit my first goal!

Topic: RE: Lost 44lbs and still NOOOO energy
I would have my labs checked to make sure everything is okay in that area. Like someone else said your iron may be low. I get tired from time to time. But for the most part I feel great. I also battle with constipation. My Dr. said to take stool softners and that help a lot. The longest I have let my self go without going number two is 9 days. After that I refuse to let it go that long. I also have problems with monthly periods. I had one about two weeks after surgery and haven't had one since. I wasn't regular before surgery but they were hoping that weightloss would correct that problem. But it hasn't so far. I go to the Dr. on Wednesday and I am going to ask him again about my absent periods. My GYN said that I have the onset of PCOS. But good luck to you. I hope that they figure out why you are so tired.

My surgery was on July 25th and I am down 55 to 60 pounds. I go Wednesday for my 3 month check-up. At two weeks out I was down 23 pounds. Since then the drastic weightloss has slowed down but I is continous. I am wearing clothes that I thought I would never get back in. Jewelry (rings) that my spouse bought that I refused to has sized now fit again. I am happy with my weightloss thus far. Although I have to admit I have felt the same as you. You read posts or profiles of others who have lost so much in the same amount of time and you question if what you are doing is right. Are you eating right, drinking right etc. But I have learned that it isn't a race and that my body will let it go at it's on pace. But from reading all of the posts we all are right where we should be. We are doing awesome.

WOW! I was suppose to go to my 3 month check-up on the 1st but I am moving and wont be here for that. So, my Doctor wants to see me Wednesday before I leave the area. I can't wait to find out how much I am down. I know that it isn't 80. I think I will be down about 55 or so. I have a problem with getting dehydrated as well. In fact I ended up in UCC because I got dehydrated at work. Good thing I would in a hospital. : ) I don't think that he is going to do lab work on me because I am leaving. But I will see Wednesday. I would love to see the changes. But Kudos to you for your weightloss thus far.
