Ugh. I am so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I have no clue because they jerked mine out during my surgery. They prefer to do it that way. We had to do labs before hand, including a ultrasounds of our innards. They seen I had stones, and said its only going to get worse with the more weight you lose and I had some chronic problems that I knew nothing about. I don't think it will be too bad on you, the recovery will probably be like having another surgery, I'm assuming it will be laproscopic? Just one more little slice. I'll be thinking of you and hoping it goes well, believe me, you'll want that sucker out of there if you start having attacks. Amber

Omigod! I could certainly use you, and would LOVE it if you were here. I am a "tutu in training" and will have to just sort of wing it when I have both babies for two days all by myself. I will take your advice and sleep when they do. I take naps every day, so I'm hoping they will, too. I'll let you know after this is over how it went. Thanks so much. Aloha nui loa, Karen

1. 07/05/2006 2. Not nearly enough (about 50) 3. About 3 liters of "fluids". ;) 4. I walk about 5 times a week. Three times are a mile and a half, twice three miles. 5. 141 pounds.

Topic: More surgery for me ...
Thursday hubby and I were headed out of town when my cell phone rang. It was my surgeon's office calling, and they told me the DR wanted to see me. I couldn't understand why since I had just been in for my 3 month check-up. Turns out he wants to talk to me about removing my gall bladder! We knew going into WLS that I had many stones, but he wouldn't remove the gall bladder at the same time as doing the WLS. Told me to come back in 3-4 months after I'd lost 100 pounds ... of course I thought he was nuts, and I'd never loose that much so fast, I haven't yet, but I'm so much closer ...lol. So now looks as thought I get to go under for the 5th time in the last 4 months! I know it won't be that bad, but I'm not looking forward to it at all! Anyone had their gall bladder out? How much time did you have to take off work? Jan

Karen, Sounds like a bunch of fun to me! I'd be glad to come help ... I was a Nanny for 10 years and loved every minute of it! Enjoy your time with the babies, and try to sleep when they do, if they do of course! Jan

Topic: Babies, babies, and more babies.....
Aloha my WLS friends.....I'm up early (5:30 a.m.) and have a few moments to myself before I'm surrounded by babies again. My son, dil and their two babies (8 mos. and 27 mos) are here and I've been learning how to be a tutu (Grandma in Hawaiian). They live in Calif. so I don't see them often, and this is the first time I met the littlest baby, Brady. What a little chunk 'o baby! Oh, such good munching......fat little arms and legs, and a toothy grin (two teeth) that would melt the hardest heart. I will be chief cook, bottle washer, and babysitter for the next three days while my BIG kids go partying in Lahaina and to a wedding in Honolulu. This tutu will have her hands full. Anyone want to come and help me?? HELP!! Where is my "tutu's handbook??" One good thing about have babies galore is that I've lost several pounds since they've been here. I forget to eat!! Barely getting down a protein shake and remembering to drink lots of water. Just had to come in and share my adventure with my bestest buds in here. I know you can all relate! Aloha nui loa, KarenS

Hi Jeanane, I had surgery July 7th. I'm down 60 lbs at this point. Welcome to the family. Don't be shy. Everyone is here to ask questions, answer questions, and help each other out. You'll fit in just fine.

I would be classified as a lurker. Surgery Date? 7/12/06 How much protein per day? A minimum of 80 g per day since Aug 26th. How much water per day? I'm still working on this one. I try my best to get in at least 50 oz per day. What is so odd is that pre-op, all I drank was water. I was not a soda, coffee, or crystal light drinker. Pre-op, my fluid intake was made up exclusively from water and milk (juice on occasion) and I never had a problem getting in 8 cups a day. How much exercise per week? 4 - 6 times per week. Total loss? 60 lbs Felicia
