On the positive side, I am more self confident, have more energy, have a better self image, I can walk without pain, I can walk without getting winded, I can run again, I am more assertive, I am more confident, plus the assorted "male benefits".
On the negative side, I have become more arrogant, more argumentive, and over all, less tollerant of other peoples' crap.

Topic: RE: INCHES,,MORE INCHES,,YOUR INCHES!!!!
way too true. If I hit a stall or see a little gain I get out the tape measure just to keep me straight. It's almost always during those times that I see the biggest decrease in inches or my clothes are starting to get loose.

we typically get 400-500 trick or treaters in an average evening. This year I just didn't want to deal with it. I made little treat bags for the neighbor boys, neices and nephews and went to my in-laws where they get about 50 or so. I put a sign on my door stating that there were no treats this year. a good time was had by all.

Hey Karen, I know they will be the center of your universe, but don't forget to take care of you too. I bet you are loving getting to know them again (or for the youngest for the first time).
I am curious, how did your son and dil react when they saw the smaller you?
Topic: RE: More surgery for me ...
Aw crap Jan, five times in four months??? Geez!!!
I had my taken laparoscopically six weeks after C section. It was a piece of... well, it was easy. The only thing easier was stricture repair! Was only in outpatient ward for five hours. Muscles felt like I had done a few too many sit ups, not bad. My surgery was Friday and went back to work Monday without any problems. I was 28 at the time, maybe that makes a difference, but it was easy.
Hope everything comes out ok for you. Hey, tell the doc to save the stones for you to see. Once you look at them, you understand why you were in pain. Good luck!

Hello surgery buddy. So nice to see you posting again. I need the boards more than ever when I am on a stall (henceforth you understand why I have been posting so much!)
Isn't it awesome to go shopping now? I have a lot of weight to loose yet, but am just about in the regular section in the stores. Man, won't that be a change? Can't wait to buy cute stuff!!
I completely understand about the pounds vs inches thing. I stall weight wise alot, but the inches still come off. You are doing great, better than me and the doc says I am right where he wants me. So, CONGRATULATIONS!
Don't stop posting OK??

Topic: RE: How much weight has everyone lost to date?
I had my surgery the day after yours and I'm down 50 pounds as of yesterday. It feels so good tgo see the numbers going down and not suffering through things so much. I know that when I ate what I do now before I had the surgery, I was soooo hungry and now I don't even think about eating. I have to remind myself to eat my meals otherwise my body doesn't tell me I'm hungry.
