Topic: Any July Lap banders out there
Im down 41 since my banding on July 25
Just curious where everyone is at with the weightloss.
I would love to lose another 60 lbs by my 1yr anniversary.
Is this doable ???? Any suggestions or words of encouragement on how to get there
I love my band...but some days are tougher than others.
Im stil hopeful about my future

Topic: Onederland FINALLY!!!!
So, I went from 214 all the way to 207, then bounced from 205 to 202 for like two weeks, how frustrating!! I couldn't wait for my weight to begin with a 1!! I stepped on the scales a week ago and it said 199.9 lbs (literally) so I was pretty excited! My last weigh-in (last Fri) was 197, so I'm officially in the 100's now... 65 lbs since surgery and almost 80 since I started my journey pre-surgery! This has been SUCH a wonderful tool to help me get towards my goal. I have 47 lbs to go until I hit my first goal!! I'm totally stoked!! I'm excited to step on the scale on Friday!!
Thanks everyone!!!
Topic: RE: Friday Five - Weekly Update
I know I'm a bit late but it's hard to get on here!!
1. What types of food did you eat this week? LOTS of chicken (as always), I've also discovered wheat toast with peanut butter and sliced bananas for breakfast (yum and good protein), I created chicken rosada (pink sauce on chicken with fresh broccoli and mushrooms over penne pasta - not much pasta for me though!), I'm really getting into fresh fruits/veggies now that I can tolerate all of that - grapes, broccoli, lettuce, etc.
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Not much, sad to say... been a crazy, busy week.
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? I lost about 5 lbs or so. I finally made it to one-derland!!! 197 on the last weigh-in (last week) So that is 65 lbs since surgery, almost 80 total (with pre-surgery loss)
4. What was your biggest challenge? Hair loss is my biggest challenge right now. I'm low on protein and calcium and my hair is coming out like crazy - thankfully I have a lot to start with, but it feels soooo thin relative to before.
5. If applicable, name something you eat/drink that makes you dump/feel bad? I don't really eat stuff that makes me dump. I haven't had too much dumping, only a couple of times, I think. Nothing really makes me sick anymore, knock on wood, but then again, I don't tempt the fates!!
*Fun bonus question:
If you could have any superhero's skills, what would your superhero ability be?
Either to read minds (if I could turn it on/off) or to be invisible!!

Peggy, Wow! If only we could bottle up the 'awe' for the plateaus, huh?! 95 lbs, 54 inches... Am so happy for you; you certainly are one lucky girl! My four months will be on the 25th, though finally broke through a three-week plateau Monday, and am currently exactly ten pounds above my HS graduation weight (166)--lowest I remember being since then , 32 years ago, then struggling with the college freshman fifteen, sophomore fifteen, junior fifteen, senior fifteen, and so on! Just look at our amazing lives now, huh?! You go, girl! Hugs galore, Patti

Deb-
Congrats on your loss! I think on here one-derland is when you enter the weights that start with a 1 (as i*****nd below) and losing 100 pounds or more is called the Century Club..(with a Double Century Club for 200+).
SO....Congrats on getting into the Century Club! I think you can ask for OH to give you a "Card" for your profile.

Thanks for your input. Saw the ortho doc today and he will schedule a total knee replacemnt next month for the left knee and hopefully depending how I recover go in and do the right knee about six weeks later. I felt like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulder just knowing that relief is on the way. I'll see that hand specialist on Monday and I will ask about the gout. When my knee flared up right after gbs surgery that's what the doc thought it was. But it wasn't. I let you know what happens. Thanks again.
