Hi Patty, Sue and all.... YEP we definitely have to take the attitude that we should not care what they think or say because they really don't think of us anyway that often. And that is proof of that. I really see how threatened, jealous and frightened other people are when a very positive person is in their presence. I am totally positive now about my life, my future and who I am... heck, after what we have gone through to get fit and healthy - THE WORLD IS OURS TO ENJOY!! Anybody stands in my way - I will knock em down and step over them. LOL I am going to have my daughter-in-law do some pix of me with the digital camera and put them on my profile soon, I hope. I am such a lame about that stuff. UGH! Would love to chat with you guys on a regular basis to be able to exchange stories and questions, etc. Email me anytime: [email protected]. (((((HUGSSS and SMOOCHES to all you B*TCHES)))))) love that one, Patty! ShelleyAnne

I think all you do is click on Forums... Then on the left hand side it should say Personal settings or something to that effect.. and click on it... it should bring u to a place where u can upload ur picture as long as its small ... or put in a url from a photosharing place like photobucket and it'll automatically resize it. Thank heavens we have the privilege of choosing our friends! I can so relate to the whole famdamily stuff! I, just Sunday, attended an annual extended-family Christmas gathering (64 relatives this year). Practically every adult made so many complimentary coments on my having lost seventy pounds since July surgery (from 239 to current 169!). Except both my (thin) sisters and older (fit) brother! I really needed to read the comments made here today. Appreciate your attitude, and all of you. Yeah, my siblings will just have to get another scapegoat, because their sister Patti here is progressively shrinking away and forward ! We're not only inner divas ladies, we're B*TCHes! Beautiful Individuals That Create (Holiday) Happiness! Hugs to all! Patti (when someone finally figures how to get the personal photo avatar, please post step-by-step directions so we can all see each other's faces)! Hugs galore, Patti

Hi ShelleyAnne, Wow, you have your mind wrapped around the good stuff! It's nice to hear I'm not the only one also. There are so many great people out there on this website, it helps with the ups and downs of this new lifestyle we have now. Thanks again and I'd love to see your xmas photos too but I haven't figured out how to post photos either - so I'm with you there! Have a great, drop-dead gorgeous holiday!!! Sue

Thanks! That's some terrific insight! I guess it's a bad way to use energy - worrying about family and their lack of support - I have some terrific friends that do celebrate with me and I am blessed!! Wrong focus for a while there - Thanks for steering me where I need to be! Now the "Inner Diva"... I'm not quite there but am tickled that you have drawn her out. Good Luck with your journey. Thanks again, Sue

I told everyone. I figured that at work it would be awfully hard to answer questions from my friends since we all eat together (I'm a teacher). I didn't want to feel like I was having to constantly make up excuses. I have to say that my staff has been amazingly supportive. When they found out all the possible complications and restrictions the surgery could mean for me - they were "wow" - very shocked that I was so willing to completely change everything about my life. There were no naysayers in the bunch. Now that I've lost 98 lbs they are so supportive and continue to say how great I'm looking. I'm glad that I chose what I chose. It was about HEALTH and anyone who can't understand that, can kiss my MUCH smaller you-know-what. Dawn http://home.cogeco.ca/~diminishingdawn
