Topic: RE: pain near incision....
I just talked to my Dr about the pains on the left side near the drain incision. He said they were scartissue that is growing or tiny pieces that have stretched from certain movements from the body. He said unless it is totally unbearable not to worry about it. Mine kinda take my breath away when I breath in deep for about 20-30 mins then it goes away. Hope this helps Kim

Thanks for the warm welcome! I hesitate to get on too many of these boards as then I have problems keeping up with all the post and responding to folks. Linda W.

That is really rude and they are totally misinformed if they think WLS is the easy way out. And if pills worked, WLS wouldn't exist! Ugh!

I agree totally, write your letter and let them know that they will make some people very unhappy about their comment. This is not an "easy way" to weight loss. The easy way is some of the people that they have on their cover that have had a cook and a professional trainer making them workout. This has been the toughest 6 months of my life but I would do it all over again if I knew that I would be so healthy after the surgery. People Magazine needs to know that we aren't "lazy" and taking the easy way out to weight loss. Sonya

Well heres to us all for having a healthier and happier new year and many years to come. Sonya

Topic: RE: BRINGING IN THE NEW YEAR IN A SIZE 16 WOWO
I know that I am late telling everyone Happy New Year but we all have a lot to be grateful for. We are all healthier and probably happier than we have been in a long time and know that 2007 will be great for all of us. I am certainly glad to come into 2007 in a 14 instead of a 26 and that I only have about 40 pounds left to lose. Hope that everyone has a great new year...Sonya

Welcome Linda and you are getting very close to your 6 month anniversary. Glad you stopped by to see this group. I haven't been in here lately and in fact I have been bad, I need to go in and update my profile but I was so busy and part of the time I was so sick that I didn't have time to update but now that the holidays are over and things are starting to slow down I need to get that done. Hope to see you in here more often and congratulations on your weight loss. Keep up the good work. Sonya

Hi folks, It just occurred to me that I should check out this surgery anniversary forum. Just popped in and realized that Karen S. from Hawaii is also here. This makes sense because she and I have a couple of other groups in common. I am now down 75 pounds, as a Lightweight, I am well over half way to goal. But the moving scale is being tuff right now. One day up a pound next day the same pound is gone. Not really staying in one place. I've increased my protein of late my labs showed I was a little borderline in that area. But still have problems getting in enough water when I get busy outside of the house. Way to easy to forget when I'm shopping or working hard on some kind of project. I really do best on the days spent at home! I'm glad to meet folks with similar surgery dates! Linda W.
