Great new picture Amber, you look amazing!! 1. What types of food did you eat this week? Steak, fish, chili, pork chops, blueberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, cherries, salad, soup, and of course tea Misto's I've been on a big fruit kick. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? walking 3. How much weight did you lose? 2 lb. Total loss? 125 gone forever!! 4. What was your biggest challenge? Getting in my vitamins! 5. Underwear seems to be a difficult problem for me, how about you??? Underwear is getting a bit big, but not a real problem as of yet, of course it was too tight before surgery. *Fun bonus question: If you had to move out of the country, which country would you move to? Holland !!! Why? My husband is Dutch, was born there, and we have lots of family there. It's a beautiful country that I love to visit. We usually go every other year, in fact this year we're going to Ireland (9 days) and Holland (5 days) in April, and none of his family there knows I had WLS! What a surprise that'll be.

Don't feel too bad. I hit 155 pounds of loss two and a half months ago and the scale hasn't moved since.

Hi Amber, I've been lurking mostly on this board, but I'll join in on this! Today is my six-month surgiversary, and I'm staying committed so that I keep losing down to goal. I still need to lose 70 pounds! I hope it's possible! 1. This week I ate lowfat turkey chili, a small bit of regular chili, a low calorie/fat veggie eggroll (lean cuisine...didn't eat the rice), etc. I notice I have substituted a lf/sf soymilk protein shake for breakfast. It fills me up so much I don't feel like eating for hours afterward. 2. This week I did Leslie Sansone's Walk Blaster (it's like an aerobic step) workout four times, did Pilates three times, and yoga once. 3. I haven't lost any weight in five days, maybe six after I weigh today. Actually, over this whole month of January, I have only lost five pounds. Is that abnormal, do you think? I have lost 84 pounds total. 4. My biggest challenge? Training myself not to eat anything late in the evening. I'm a night owl, so that is a challenge for me. I did it, though! 5. Yes, my undies are a bit loose, but I hate to buy new ones until I just have to! Also, I am having a bra problem. I have one that's too small still, and the rest are too big. bonus: I believe I would move to England. Italy's food is too good, so I don't think I'd keep my weight off there! England is lovely, and the food doesn't seem that great, and I understand the language, so it seems perfect! I've always wanted to go. They have lovely architecture and a long and interesting history. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. Have a great weekend! Steph

Congrats to you! There is no reason to be disappointed. You have accomplished a lot in 6 months and I am quite sure your weightloss is not over. Don't be a slave to the scale, just continue to eat your protein first and work out. Hold your head up high, we are all better physically then we were 6months ago. Be proud of yourself. Dee

Hi Sarah, yep, my six-month followup appointment was this week, and I, too, was told the weight loss will slow down at this point. Have you taken your measurements? I've basically been at 156 (83 lbs down) since the 7th, although have still lost inches. Keep following your food and exercise program, and it WILL happen! We were so 'spoiled' the first five months with rapid weight lost, and yes, our bodies need to catch up with the sudden drops. Hang in there, keep a positive attitude, and hope you're pleasantly surprised very soon! Take care of you! Hugs, Patti

Hi Bejai, What a feeling, huh?! Just a suggestion regarding clothes shopping: are you able to hit thrift stores? There's one three blocks from my home, and I always take clothes I've shrunk out of, plus have bought some very-new nice clothes to shrink out of, sometimes even with original tags! Happy celebratory dancing, happy, happy shopping! Hugs, Patti

It is very frustrating. I have been at a stall for 2 months. I have hired a personal trainer and I have upped by protein, and the scale still doesn't move. I guess it is just a part of the process. All you can do is keep going and eventually you will have to begin losing again. I have learned that just because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean you aren't losing inches. They say inches is what takes you to the next closing size. Keep your head up, you are not in this alone. We will have to encourage one another. Congratulations on the 95lbs!!! That's a whole person.
