Ok guys and gals, I lost 9 lbs. last week alone on this diet. It kicked me off of my 4 month plateau. This is a 3 day diet, where you can lose 10lbs. This worked well for me, because it was actually too much food at one point. But it is perfect to get you back on track and losiing again. It helped me. 222 lbs to 213 lbs. in 1 week. I wanted to share the love. Day 1 Breakfast: Black coffee or tea 1/2 grapefruit or juice 1 slice of toast 1 tbsp peanut butter Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna 1 slice toast coffee or tea Dinner: 2 slices any type meat (about 3 oz.) 1 cup string beans 1 cup beets or carrots 1 small apple 1 cup vanilla ice cream Day 2 Breakfast: Black coffee or tea 1 egg 1 slice toast 1/2 banana Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese 5 saltine crackers coffee or tea Dinner: 2 weiners (Franks) 1 cup broccoli or cabbage 1/2 ccup carrots 1/2 banana 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream Day 3 Breakfast: Black coffee or tea 5 saltine crackers 1 slice of cheddar cheese 1 small apple Lunch: 1 hard boiled egg 1 slice toast coffee or tea Dinner: 1 cup tuna 1 cup beets or carrots 1 cup cauliflower or greens 1 cup canteloupe 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream This diet works on chemical breakdown and is proven to work. Do not vary or substitute any of the foods. Salt and pepper may be used but no other seasoning. This diet is to be used 3 days at a time. In 3 days you will lose 10 lbs. After 3 days of dieting you can eat your usual food but don't over eat. After 4 days of normal eating, start back on your 3 day diet. This diet is used at Birmingham, Al Hospital Cardiac Unit for patients who need to lose lots of weight in a hurry before having heart surgery. You can lose up to 40 lbs a month.

Sounds interesting, but I don't think I could eat 5.5 cups of stuff in one sitting as suggested for the dinner. Glad you're having success with it! Christina S

lol I'm sure you have to tweak it before it works.. No person who has had WLS could eat that much in one sitting.. I don't think. Sounds good to me though. I'd like to lose it like that again :P

It doesn't sound healthy at all to me. Glad to hear it worked for you.

Yeah, I think I'd rather use the phase 1 of South Beach. Yummy!

Aloha .... Interesting diet I think for non WLS people. I still don't eat cracker, or ice cream in any form, and won't until I'm at my goal. And....that dinner on the last day......there is no way I could eat even a quarter of that at one sitting. I wonder if anyone has adapted the diet for WLS patients. Thanks, and glad this worked for you though. Aloha nui loa, KarenS
