Friday Five - Weekly Update!
1. What types of food did you eat this week? low fat turkey chili, chicken pot pie, turkey cobb salad, crab legs, shrimp, protein shake, peanut butter, crackers, low fat cottage cheese, hard boiled egg, soup
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? I work out with my personal trainer twice a week.(he's killing me) two days of cardo.
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 5lbs., total 83 lbs. Trainer says I should expect to gain about 10 lbs. because I am gaining muscle.
4. What was your biggest challenge? Eating enough food. Now that I have a trainer I have to increase my calories and I am scared because I don't want to gain weight, even though I need to eat to lose weight. I feel better when I eat more and have more energy.
5. When you're ready to give up, what happens to change your mind??? All the compliments and the clothes that I can't fit. I look in the mirror and I am just amazed at the transformation. I am a slow loser and I get discouraged, but giving up is not an option. We had major surgery and that is enough to say I'm gonna make this too do its job. I was on a stall since Dec. 2nd. Finally this week I lost 5 lbs. although I can tell in my clothes I'm losing, but the scale either stays the same or increases. Throw the scale away!!!
*Fun bonus question:
If they made a movie about your life, what famous person (doesn't have to be an actor/actress) would you want to play you? Oprah
Hi Amber,
I tried replying yesterday and don't think it went through, so I'm trying again. I wanted to tell you even though I don't know your height, you and I seem to have very similar statistics. I have lost 86 pounds and seem to have slowed a lot lately, as well. I don't know how accurate the weight loss tracking chart is or what they use for it, but it seems you and I are ahead of the chart. Have you referred to it before? Anyway, hang in there and keep in touch if you feel like it. Just wanted to let you know there's people that know how you feel out here.
Thanks, Bridget! It's very nice of you to take the time out to respond. I am 5'11, but my doctor's based everything off me being 5'10. According to their chart, I should be at 209 right now. I'm still 6 pounds off. Actually Saturday morning my scaled said 213.5 and I got really excited! Today its back at 215 but I really don't care. It's that time of the month and I'm not going to start worrying again till next week. I hope that I don't worry at all, actually. I will get through this and I do know I'm not alone. Thank you so much for thinking of me, we definitely need to stick together!
