More 101 reasons why I had wls
32. To go dancing and 'really' dance.
33. To have a party at my house and be able to walk around with 25 other people in there!!
34. To walk out on a second floor or higher balcony and not be afraid it is going to collapse.
35. Compliments, compliments, compliments.
36. To have what I call 'skinny people' ask how they can loose weight too.
Ok everyone, now add your reasons. We need to get up to 101.

37. To finally feel good about myself. To look in a mirror and be proud of who I am again.
38. To have energy to keep up with my two teenage daughters, or at least try to anyway.
39. To NOT have to wake up each week saying to myself. "Today I'm going to start a NEW diet and loose some weight and eat heathy"
40. To make a different New years resolution that doesn't have to do with dieting.
41. To acually quit eating before I'm stuffed and miserable.
42. To not wake up each morning with severe back pain and suffer all day with it.
42. To be rid of Diabetes Medicine
43. To get off of high blood pressure medicine
44. To now appear invisible to men
45. To be able to run again
46. To be able to shop at regular size stores
47. To not worry about dying early
48. To rid the concern that my weight was the reason I didn't get the job
49. To feel pretty and sexy
50. To conquer the biggest thing that effected my entire life
51. to buy pany hose that fit
52. to be able to sit in any chair without worrying about breaking it.
53. to have a bra fit comfortably and to be able to buy underwear at victoria's secret rather than at "tubby the underwear guy"
54. so the bathroom scales won't creak and groan when you step on it.
56. to never be embarrassed about my size.
55. to not be more out of shape than senior citizens
56. to not break the toilet seat when leaning to one side .
57. to buy clothing bargains that fit for the next year.
57. to try to make a double chin and fail.
58. to not wake up feeling achy in your back or to have ache-free legs and feet
59. to not count walking to the refrigerator as daily exercise.
60. to not have to wait for the handicapped bathroom stalls when there are plenty of other stalls availible.
61. To comfortably wear size seven bikini panties and thongs.
62. To be shocked at wearing size twelve petite jeans and slacks.
63. To comfortably wear low-rise jeans.
64. To actually appreciate no hunger or cravings for 5 1/2 months.
65. To hear compliments, compliments, compliments on a daily basis.
66. To have the most amazing relationshhip with a guy I met one month prior to surgery.
67. To look forward to summer and wearing shorts.
68. To shop for cloths in ANY store.
69. To step on a scale and be HAPPY!
70. To have a "nornal" sized bath towel fit around me, and cover everything.
71. To not have people constantly judging me because of my weight.
72. To not be hungry all the time.
73. To not abuse food anymore.
74. To put a seatbelt on comfortably.
75. To look forward to another year of LIFE!!!

76. No more asthma
77. Everything is more comfortable, clothes, walking, airplane seats, living!
78. I have to say the compliments compliments compliments deserves another space.
79. To be looked at and "checked out" by people.
80. Cheaper clothes at regular stores. I spend half or less on clothes now.
81. To be able to comfortably and easily cross my legs.
82. To have the tools to be a health conscious person.
83. To keep up with my students.
84. People tell me I "inspire" them to get healthy too, wow!!
85. To look like a normal person and fit in with others. I no longer stand out as the "big" girl. I look normal now, even though I'm still 25 lbs overweight... I no longer stand out.... at least not in a bad way.
86. To walk by those reflecting windows and not look the other way
87. To hear my father-in-law say, "I can get my arms around you twice", during a hug hello
88. To hear my husband say "oooohhh you're sooo skinny!", or "look at your tiny butt"
89. To no longer fear the amuzement ride will break should I dare to get on one again
90. To never again have the mortifying embarassment of being handed a seatbelt extension on an airplane
91. To no longer fear someone will be thinking "please don't let her sit next to me" on a plane,train, bus etc.
92. To have my co-workers give me lots of credit and encouragement and praise while knowing that I did have WLS, and thinking I'm courageous!
93. I think #84 deserves a second, but I'll add that I now get asked for weight loss advice!
94. To have energy after work to be able to do something other than sit and watch TV
95. To be able to just stand up from a sitting position, rather than shift, lift, push and struggle
96. To be able to get down onto, and up off of, the floor with ease, rather than having to take into account whether once I'd gotten down if I'd even be able to get back up without having to call for assistance.
97. To greatly reduce my fears of having multiple strokes and ending up bedridden like my mom.
98. To soon be thinner than my sister!!!
99. To no longer weigh more than my 6'2'' brother! How embarassing that was!
100. To not have to push the car seat back in order to fit behind the wheel
101. To have met all the wonderful, supportive, friendly, awesome people on this board, at the weight loss meetings, at the hospital, and of course to have met my life saving doctor. Dr. Roye, you rock! And you're gorgeous inside and out!!!!!!!!!
I'm new to this forum. Didn't even know it was here until a couple weeks ago.
