Hi all, I got my blood results last week & my GP has no clue about RNY. She has done further tests to find out why, I know this can be common, just thought I would ask if you can share with me your experiences in the area. I am not on ANY meds/drugs. I don't drink alcohol at all. Is there anything I can do or suggest to my doctor?? I wish you all health & a very HAPPY HOLIDAY~!!! Big Hugs Heather lap RNY July 25/06 255/165/135

Heather, I am not sure if it is the same for RNY but I was told ahead of time that after a DS, liver enzymes are up for the first 6 months, and it is self correcting (nothing to worry about). It may possibly be the same for you; you may want to ask your surgeon. Jezia

Hey Sis, not to worry, you are right where you are supposed to be. I have lost 90lbs. total, but 20lbs. was before surgery, so 70 since surgery is very normal! You will keep loosing, for sure! you are doing great. I exercise & workout with weights, I think that is helping me. I also am very nautious & don't eat much at all! I throw up alot lately, but think that is due to a virus. I wish you a wonderful holiday season & a very healthy happy New Year!!!! Big Hugs, Heather

Hi Heather, I think you might want to check with your surgeon about your liver enzymes just in case. I know my lipase enzymes were very high and I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. I was in the hospital for a week and was on a TPN IV for a month. I too was very nauteaous and wasn't eating at all. When the pancreas gets upset that is what happens. My surgeon told me since I lost weight so quickly I formed gall stones a lot quicker than normal. That in turn irritated the liver and the pancreas. Don't want to get you worried or anything, but just wanted to give you a heads up as to what I experienced. Best Wishes =) Bethany
