Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I've written. I hope everyone is doing well. I know that it is normal to have hair loss during this time, but I just seem to be losing so much of it. Is there anything anyone can suggest to slow it down? Any kind of vitamins or shampoos or anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Deanna

Mine has started to fall out too. From what others have posted, there are shampoos you can use and supplements you can take and some people believe in them and some don't. A while back someone posted that our hair is actually catching up to the rest of us.. Something about it being about 3 months behind. Meaning that what we do now will effect our hair in about 3 months. That's why the loss usually starts about 3-4 months out. So, I, myself, don't believe there is anything I can do to stop what is happening now. What I have chosen to do is get w/ my hairdresser. She has recommended a line of products w/ Nioxin in them. There are shampoos, hairsprays, gels, etc. They cause the regrowth to be thicker and healthier. In the meantime, I just make sure to get my protein and supplements in to keep myself healthy. Strange thing is is that my hair appears very healthy and a little thinner (I have a lot of thick hair anyways). It is noticeably coming out though and causing me a little anxiety. Since winter is approaching, I think I could become a hat kind of girl...lol

Deanna- Yep...you're right on track with most of us. I'm losing it like crazy too and I'm just making sure to get all my vits and protein in so that it will stop soon. I'm not taking anything special or doing anything other than sticking to my "rules". Christina

Thanks everyone for your help! I've heard that Rogaine works, but I'm not sure. At this point, I'll give anything a shot. I'll keep you posted.

Beware of rogaine. From what I've heard, once you start using it, you have to keep using it. That came from my stylist. I've been using Nioxin which I bought at the Walmart hair salon and after a month, my stylist told me that I have some new growth. I think rogaine is made for a different type of hair loss.

I noticed it right at three months out. Started to notice alittle bit in the sink after blow drying. Now a few weeks later I have to use the hand vac every morning after I blow dry and wipe the hair out of the sink. Everyday seems to be more. I've been taking Biotin since surgery and using nioxin shampoo. Today I went and bought some Nioxin treament that you leave in and use everyday. I'm scared to death that I'll wake up one morning and be bald. My Mom tells me to get a cute hat just in case. I noticed some new hair growth around my hairline. So hopefully it will even out. I take all my vitiamins and protien. Good luck to you. Kathi
