*Fun bonus question:
For all my Christmas celebrators, we only have 51 days till the big day...Is there a special gift you are searching for but can't find? If not, what is one gift that you would love to have? Just beginning to think about Christmas, but I would love to have a coat that fits! I need a 18-20, does anyone have one to get rid of? Other than that, I would love a tennis bracelet, who wouldn't??
1. Foods eaten: at three-month follow-up appt yesterday (previously postponed a week), my nutritionist said now going forward, to only track protein, and to get minimum 60 gms daily. Otherwise, new things last week: sweet potato, two whole-grain crackers, and modified my former recipe for parmesan chicken. All were very nice--still no hunger nor appetite!
2. Exercise: Started Pilates/yoga class tonight, won a one-month membership at Snap Fitness two blocks away, and start tomorrow. Last week: mostly walking, and stair-stepping. Looking forward to new variety!
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? All our programs are so different; yesterday I was told not to weigh myself until the six-month followup in Feb. Am to keep following the plan, celebrating inches disappearing. However, I've lost 59 to date.
4. What was your biggest challenge? Remembering to eat three times daily--still no hunger nor cravings, which I was told yesterday may or may not change: priceless!
5. Am I prepared for Thanksgiving Dinner? YES! I work part-time, and signed up to work Thanksgiving (receptionist at a seniors' assisted-living complex), and will be taking some chicken with poultry spice, garlic and onion powders; and will be making (for the first time post-op) pumpkin custard (pie recipe without crust!). Haven't decided on which veggie yet.
*Fun bonus question:
No problems attaining my annual goal completing holiday shopping by Nov. 1.What I'd like? The one gift I'd love to have is for all my four siblings who will see me for the first time (since Father's day--and we all live in the twin cities area)) at Christmas day, and for just one of them to 'get it', that they're wrong, this is not just another "diet" I'm going to fail! I'm so grateful for the privilege of choosing my friends! Thanks to each and every one of you!
