12 weeks LAB report
Hi Everybody! I got the usual vampira, 7 tubes of blood drawn last Thursday and the results received at surgeon's office on Tuesday.... DRUMROLL, please!! They all were excellent! I am thrilled. All my levels are great and so I am doing it right, for now. I just started eating fruit and veggies and a salad never tasted so good. I have only done the lettuce and tomato with a spritz of dressing so far, but heck I am happy with that for now. I also ate 1 piece of a peeled apple with some peanut butter on it... YUMMO! So I am in the next part of the journey, which is more returning to normal life syndrome, with a twist. I LOOK FANTASTIC and FEEL EVEN BETTER. I bought a size 10 pair of CALVIN jeans... HELLO!!! UNREAL!! 3 months next Thursday and I have lost 54 lbs. I never challenge the pouch. Have never thrown-up or dumped in any other way and except for a couple of times with some pain due to eating too fast or too much, I have had no complications or ill feelings from this surgery. No hair loss, yet. No more stress incontinence. No more sleep problems. No more aching joints just to walk up and down the stairs. Heck, I started a walk/jog program 3 weeks ago and am up to 2 miles running with 3 miles walking, 6 days a week and workout with a personal trainer 3 times a week for 30 minutes a session. I am getting toned, muscular, fit and healthy. Maybe I will not need a wagon to cart the skin around, huh? giggle giggle. Anyway, hope all you July babies are doing just as well. Wishing you a wonderful journey. ShelleyAnne
Aloha ShelleyAnne.....You are doing so great!! I can feel the energy and happiness in your words. You are a whole new person. Your weight loss is amazing. I wish I were losing as fast, but so far not quite 40 for me with surgery on July 26th. But it's coming off...slowly but surely and that's what counts.
I just started doing aqua aerobics today and that felt wonderful. So I think I'll be doing pool work six days a week. I'm still not up to going to a gym unless maybe Curves which is all women.
Keep up the good work!!
Aloha nui loa,
KarenS
Hey surgery twin! Glad to see the good report. That is so awesome!!!! I'm right there with ya. I did my labs Wednesday but my appointment got moved to November 3rd, so I won't know what the results are till then. I've been eating normal food for quite some time, so its not so exciting to me, but I love it when others get to, that's great. I have no been exercising appropriately, but I'm joining a gym soon and I'll get my butt to work. Friday Five is up, i'll have my stats there!
Have a great weekend,
Amber
