3 Months here we come!
Aloha Jezia....I'm with you! I read these posts and I feel so discouraged. I had surgery on July 26th, and I'm only down 36 lbs. I have been at 35/36 pounds for almost a month now, and I just don't get it. I'm exercising, and I only eat around 750 calories a day in all the right foods. I get in my protein, my vitamins, my calcium...what more can we do??
Big sigh!
Aloha,
KarenS
Hi karen, we are surgery buddies and I want to let you know that we are in the same situation. I lost 15 before surgery and 38 since surgery. I have just recently lost 2 pounds before that I was stuck at 36 too. I eat about the same # of calories as you. I was feeling really bad but since I came to the July board I feel like I am pretty average with every one else. I go back to the doc on the 26th and he is expecting me to have lost 18-24 pounds but I am not sure if it will happen or not. I am sick to death of worrying about it though I can tell you that much.
Aloha Pamela...weight loss sister!! Wow, we had surgery on the same exact date, and have lost almost exactly the same. That makes me feel so much better. I, too, have an appointment with my surgeon on Oct. 26th. I fly from Maui back over to Honolulu where I had my surgery. When I saw him at 4 weeks I told him I didn't think he'd done anything to me because I had no problems at all with any food I introduced. He laughed at me and said oh yes, he had done a lot inside of me.
Thank you so much for responding......you made me feel a lot better. I hope we both break through the stall and have excellent reports when we see our surgeons on the 26th.
Aloha nui loa,

Hi, I had surgery on July 26 also! I have lost 36 pounds since surgery and 42 since my first dr's visit. I haven't had many problems with food, thank God. I didn't lose any weight this week from Tuesday till today, when I was 1 pound down. I am having problems with my iron, tho. I'm on suppliments, so this will improve soon! Take care and lets all hope we have great reports from our drs! Best wishes, Nonnie
Like Pamela, I'm in the same boat as you are! My surgery was the day before yours.
I've lost 33 since surgery but if I add the 5 pounds I lost two weeks prior then my total hits 38.
Also, I've noticed I have started the second stall and I expect this one to possibly last a couple weeks. Wanting to see that 199 again, so you just KNOW that my body will get stubborn.
So I am adding in some light free weights along with 4 days of cardio and working on getting my water past 48 oz a day. My surgeon only requires 32 oz. a day and that has worked for me since I've been struggling with the water. By changing up my goals, I now have something else to focus on other than the scale.
Also, don't forget to keep track of your measurements!
Aloha WLS sister! Well, now there are at least three of us stuck at the same place after having surgery at the same time. Maybe it isn't just me who is a slow loser after all. I feel happy for the people who lose so much faster, but it also is discouraging when we are doing all the right things and the pounds just hang on.
I think I need to add more exercise, too, as you have. I am thinking of signing up at Curves, but it's a little on the expensive side. Good idea about the free weights....I will get some of those, too.
Thanks so much for your words of support.....we need to stick together and help each other through this!
Aloha nui loa,
KarenS
Hi Jezia,
I know exactly how you feel. I had my surgery on July 18th and I am only down 33 pounds since surgery date 44 pounds since my consultation. I am doing everything I am suppose to and I dont understand why I am not dropping quicker. I have been so depressed about it. You are doing great. Mae
