Monday Morning
Ok...u have finally stumped me. I dont really time my meals on a set schedule like I did in the first month when I was off work. I would say...on my days off Ive noticed I cant go more than 3 hrs without eating something. I get very hungry about 3 hrs out.
I would say I go about 2-3 hrs after a meal and drink my profect...then maybe 30 min later eat my snack ...usually cheese stick...and then 2 -3hrs later have a meal again.
(Ive noticed I spend more time eating now than before surgery).
That would leave about 5 hrs between each meal... So for a normal day shift person who can have breakfast at 7 am and lunch at noon...can still have dinner about 5 or 6
This shows how important that snack is to keep our metabolism going. We cant eat enough at one meal to keep us going 5-6 hrs without that snack.
I get up at about 2 pm. most days. drink protein...takes an hr to drink... wait 30 min. eat breakfast over 30 min. that brings me to about 4 pm. about 6pm Im having my profect and before 7 Ive had my snack. I have lunch about 9pm-9:30. I go to work at 1030 pm. I have a protein about 11:30... then a snack. Supper is at 2:30 -3 am
My last snack is at 5:30 if Im going to the gym. If Im going home to bed I sometimes dont eat a snack at this time. ...and at 6:30 I head home......If I head to the gym after work.... Then home to bed by 8:30 am and the next day I may not get up till 3 or 4pm. So that gets my eating off....thats why my time of meals changes everyday. Good thing I dont have kids to feed on a set schedule. All my animals get fed on my schedule and they never complain...LOL
Hello my July Sisters!!!!
Just to chime in. I'm getting depressed about the weight loss because it seems slow to me as well. I started out at 358 and I'm down to 302. My 3 month appointment is Oct 5 and I really wanted to be 285. I don't see this happening. I saw the dietician on last Friday and she said that I needed to get in some carbs along with fruits and vegetables because I was only eating protein...strictly protein. I try really hard to get in at least 60 gms per day but I can't hardly stand those drinks. Either they have an odor, aftertaste, or they are too sweet. I've not really been exercising consistently but I went today to sign up for gym membership. I've been walking 2 miles per day three times a week but this isn't enough. My dietician also told me that I should be getting in up to 1000 calories a day. I just can't seem to eat like that. I usually get up between 5:30-6:00 a.m. and I'm running trying to get to work by 8. I have a 7 y/o and 1 y/o. While at work, I never eat except for lunch. I envy Mariah as well. I wish I was so close to 100# lost at 3 months. I'm gonna try Mariah's plan of action. What exercises are you girls doing and how often? Good luck ladies and any suggestions are appreciated. Believe it or not.....WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ree Ree,
My exercise right now isnt consistant. I have a crazy schedule and so does my husband. His job takes him to the West Coast 4 days a week and we both work night shift. However my nights is on east coast time and his is on pacific time.
I try to go to the gym 3 times a week but some weeks I only make it twice. However the 2 or 3 days a week my husband is here we spend our time going to parks and or malls and getting lots of walking in. Hes very supportive and encourages me to walk even when Im not really into it. He will even go to the gym with me when hes here.
I know getting snacks in at work can be difficult...thats why I tend to eat alot of cheese sticks and profect proteins when Im at work ....Both are small and compact. At home I have the larger volume protein...like Chocolate Atkins . Try to find things that make it simple for u but keep u on the program of healthy living/loosing.
Im very proud of all of us. Just think 3 months ago how much fatter the world was. We have lost thousands of lbs just by adding all of us together. Just think about how much healthier our hearts are now
I think I will start a new thread on Oct 1st and then everyone will post how much they have lost on their 3 month anniversery... Each person that posts will add their wt loss to the previous total and at the end of the month we should have all posted and we can see how much all the july babys lost in 3 months....
Mariah,
Agreeing with the words of others, I think you've been very helpful. I am open to any suggestions if it's gonna assist me with the weight loss. I really look forward to this board because other boards just don't seem to be as active. I hope that we can continue to encourage one another becasue we all need it. I hope to follow the time schedule as far as how you eat. I work 8-5 in an OB-GYN office and it's hectic once we start clinic. But, I've got to make time for me. Personally, I want to get rid of the three....I need to see 299 at least. I hope to be 215 by Christmas. Gotta try to eat right and begin exercising consistently. This post goes out to all those who've stalled. Keep your heads up and show everyone that we are and will shed these unwanted pounds.

Aloha again Mariah...I just got back on my computer and have read everything everyone has said, and WOW what great information! I am going to check out the site that you posted with phases, etc.
Tonight I added some yogurt with some FiberOne stirred in to my daily intake, thinking maybe I wasn't getting enough calories and my metabolism has shut down on me. We'll see if that helps jumpstart the weight loss.
Thank you so much for your detailed descriptions........most definitely appreciated. Keep up your fabulous work...you are an inspiration!
Aloha nui loa,

Im just glad to be able to help. Its funny, now when I see someone that cant get around I want to go give them my surgeons card and tell them there is help. Havent done it yet....LOL
I just didnt know for some many yrs that help was out there. Help that would really work and not some diet pill that would cost my entire paycheck and then not produce what they said it would.
Im finally living again and Im so excited to share the good news. God has blessed me with this tool and Im willing to help anyone I can.
Mariah
