Hi Linda! I'm a July 25ther too. I've been doing great. I can eat anything but sugar, white starch and really heavy foods. I haven't tried raw vegetables yet like carrots. I've lost about 42 pounds so far. I would definitely do it again...in a heartbeat. I love that most people are noticing now. Best, Nicole

Hey~ I'm doing great. I haven't weighed since August 25th but as of then I had lost 21 lbs, making me an official 279. Dunno if that makes me a slow loser or not...but I'll take it.. I can eat basically anything as long as it is very low or has no sugar in it... and I can eat about 1/4 cup of food at a time. In the beginning I was kind of having regrets but not anymore... Its just a major adjustment...and I am feeling very confident about it now. The rest of you July 25th-ers keep me updated with how you're doing...and just stay in touch! Katrina

I'm also a July 25ther! How am I doing? Pretty well. I still struggle to get in all my protein since the protein shake I was using now makes me vomit. I am very close to being able to get all the 60grams a day through food. I am also still working on getting all the fluid in all the time. Some days are better than others. What's my food intake now-- I'm being extremely cautious right now, but I do allow myself two pieces of sugar free candy every day as a snack. You all must try the sugar free York Peppermint Patties-- they taste EXACTLY like the real thing. Rght now Im really big on Wendy's Chili and Papa John's Chicken Strips (they are great tasting and very tender!). Last week I was craving a Schlotzky veggie sandwich, so I bought one and cut it up. I was able to eat a bit of it over two days with no problems. Since Im working on protein, though, I haven't had another-- the craving was gone once I had a bit. How much have I lost? I weighed 235 on surgery day (I stand 4'11.5"). This morning I weighed in at 209. So a loss of 26 pounds so far. I am ecstatic, because my goal for October 1st was to be 205 pounds. Looks like I may even get close to Onderland! I am glad that I understood that my weightloss will not be as dramatic as the average WLS patient since I have less to lose. Otherwise I would be disappointed. Attitude towards surgery-- I do not regret a thing! I do miss sodas still, but I knew that would happen. hehehe I honestly believe that we are all WLS patients at the perfect time-- there are so many products out there that we can have and not feel deprived.

Include me in for July 25. I feel like I'm doing great but I'm having trouble getting in all of my protein. Had a two week stall but I increased my calories some and weight started to come off again, not as fast as it was right after surgery but it's going. I have to admit except for a few sudden movements right after surgery I didn't have much pain at all, actually I still have like 80% of my pain meds left. As of yesterday I have lost 38 pounds since surgery and an additional 18 pounds for the pre-op diet the month before giving me a total of 56 pounds. YEAH!!!!

Hi everyone, I had my surgery on July 25th also. I started out weighing 269 and now weigh 239. Thats a loss of 30 lbs. I can eat almost anything except meats, they don't stay down very well. Sugar free pudding with a little bit of peanut butter on top is one of my favorite desserts. I have been doing great since surgery but find myself at this time not hungry and my pouch fills up fast. Do any of you feel that way?

7/25/06 is my birthday too! Doing well, but having some problems keeping some meats down (chicken meat from fajita and other "dense" meats). Eating cottage cheese & yogurt like it is going out of style. I have heard that dairy products aid in weight loss around the tummy. I have become a huge fan of chili & refried beans. I haven't tried fried foods or anything that would have been a comfort food prior to surgery. Yippee, I knew there was some self control in there! Down 47 lbs, can't wait to hit the 50 mark. Would it be completely wrong to want to go someplace like Red Lobster for a shrimp ****tail to celebrate? Attitude toward this surgery~well, it has changed my whole outlook on life. I would do it again in a heartbeat!! Relationships have changed in a good way with husband and family. This has affected by self esteem which has affected every part of my life. I found the ME I USED to be!! ~Diana

I'm another 25ther. I am doing great...have lost about 48 pounds, am about 7 pounds from 200....That will be an exciting day when the two is gone. I struggle with the protein too. I find that I crave alot of fish...so Salmon and trout are a favorite. I went to a support group and they gave out some samples of protien suppliments and I think I will order them. The grape drink was wonderful and they had some bars that were good as well. The company name is SmartForme. They pretty much try to make yummy stuff for us surgery patients. I definately would do this again. I have lost 4 inches on my rear and 4 inches on my waist, and down from a 22W to a 16W. Ya hoo. Rose
