I figure we should update on a weekly basis, so we can keep up with everyone. So lets fill these out and see what's happening.

1. What types of food did you eat this week?
Carb controlled yogurt, baked potato, my new famous Pigs in a blanket (made with fat free turkey dogs, low sugar BBQ, RF Sharp Cheddar, and RF Cresent Rolls - "normies" loved them) salads, celery w/ RF peanut butter. grilled tuna steak, grilled catfish, and grilled chicken.
2. What types of exercise did you do this week?
Walking and playing Volleyball at practice.
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss?
-2 lbs. Total: 40 pounds down.
4. What was your biggest challenge?
Not getting enough exercise. I need to do it more.
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op?
There will come a time when you will stop losing weight (around 3 weeks Post-OP) don't get discouraged, it will happen again!

Running Down A Dream by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. I usually end up speeding though. The greatest hits CD is great to listen to on road trips!

1. What types of food did you eat this week?spicy Thai chicken soup, salmon, chicken salad, yogurt, fruit ( I crave fruit), turkey jerky, egg scrambles
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? walking
3. How much weight did you lose? -5 lb Total loss? -57lb total
4. What was your biggest challenge? eating and keeping it down
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? It's much harder than I would have ever imagined, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

1. What types of food did you eat this week? yogurt, cereal with lactaid, FF bean and cheese tacos, protein shakes (4 a day)
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? walking - (I had to have a second surgery for a massive internal infection, so I can't exercise until the end of October)
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 2 lbs. total of 50lbs.
4. What was your biggest challenge? Still having pain and fatigue from the 2nd surgery, so walking is not pleasant.
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? Give yourself plenty of time after the surgery to realize that the choice you made was a good decision, because you will question yourself.

What is your favorite "driving" song? Summertime - Kenny Chesney...although it is time to pick a new one since summer is over.
1. What types of food did you eat this week? Protein, protein, and more protein. String cheese, power crunch bars, yogurt, chicken thigh, protein drinks, nuts, stuff like that in small amounts
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Walking
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? I don't know, I only weigh myself once a week and it is not on Friday
4. What was your biggest challenge? Getting enough exercise. I try to walk during my lunch hours but am finding that I still need my lunch time naps to get through the afternoon at work
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? Be prepared for the "after surgery slump," when you've gone through all that scarey and painful stuff and you are still fat!

What is your favorite "driving" song? Hmmm . . . lately I've been listening to books on CD in the car instead of music
1. What types of food did you eat this week?
Popsicles, peanuts and nuts, spaghetti w/meatballs (no noodles), summer squash, grapes, tomatoe, cheeseburger, chicken, ham, cottage cheese and peaches, RF peanut butter, potatoe skins (no skin -just a few bacon pieces, cheese and a little bit of the potatoe), and oatmeal. Oh and Unjury shakes.
2. What types of exercise did you do this week?
deep water exercises, walking, swimming, treadmill, lifted weights and laundry (up and down the stairs!!)
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss?
53 pounds since 7/6 surgery date
4. What was your biggest challenge?
Not drinking with a meal and not gulping the water down when I'm thirsty - taking only small drinks at a time.
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op?
Forgive yourself and move forward when you slip up and stay off the scale except for the weekly or bi-weekly weigh ins. Also...while your weight numbers might not move, your inches will probably show the loss - don't just go by your weight.

1. What types of food did you eat this week? chicken salad, chili beans, pinto beans and cheese (taco Bell), grilled chicken with cheese, string cheese, cream of wheat, unjury protein drinks, boiled egg, 1/4 piece of wheat toast, cucumber, green beans.
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? walked on treadmill and rode the exercise bike at the YMCA
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? as of 8/29 it was 30 lbs. and I haven't weighed since.....however, I did discover today that I am down 2 dress sizes from a 26/28 to an 18/20!
4. What was your biggest challenge? eating slow - I hate taking forever to eat such small amounts of food and just want to get it over with......
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? be prepared to have to eat very slowly

1. What types of food did you eat this week?
Nectar Protien shakes, Dannon light n fit yogurt, cheese sticks, Wendy's chilli, baked chicken, green beans, cream of asparagus soup, deli turkey, Kraft fat free chedar cheese, chicken salad, tuna salad
2. What types of exercise did you do this week?
Walking on the treadmill and in the neighborhood
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss?
The scale has not budged in almost 4 weeks, but I have lost 42 lbs.
4. What was your biggest challenge?
Finding the time to exercise. When I get off of work, I am usually busy taking the kids to practice, cooking dinner, etc and it is so late by the time I get everything done
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op?
Start testing protein drinks before surgery...do not wait until you have had the surgery. Otherwise, you will be very frustrated.

eggs, low fat deli ham, cheese,vegan pretzel nuggets, fat free ritz w/pb, whole wheat w/pb, tuna fish(albacore, cant seem to stomach the others anymore)
2. What types of exercise did you do this week?
Walking in the park, only 1 mile, Walmart, and Walk Away the Pounds 2 mile (3 days total) need to do more.
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss?
5 pounds/48 pounds
4. What was your biggest challenge?
To eat and to excercise some, I am still in a lot of pain and need more surgery.
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op?
Don't have pre-conceived expectations of the surgery or recovery based on others, everyone is different.

My CD player is broken, it spits out my CD *frown* so I flip though until I find something that fits my mood...which changes from moment to moment these days

push-mowed 2 lawns, walked 4x at gym (1.5 miles) and once around the neighborhood, weights (for my batwing arms), weeded garden
3. How much weight did you lose? 3.5 Total loss? 59.5
4. What was your biggest challenge? I had two vomiting incidences: I didn't pay attention to the fat content in a broth and in a dressing on a tomato salad. UGH.
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? Drink. Eat protein. Above all, MOVE.
6. What is your favorite "driving" song? It's gotta be "Love Shack" by the B-52s!
