Need breakfast ideas

I was raised on grits. In fact, that's what I have every morning for breakfast. I buy the instant packets for quickness getting ready for work. I have what equals 1/2 packet, which is about 1/4 cup. Then I melt a 2% sliced cheese on it for protein. I used to mix scrambled eggs in my grits before surgery. How do you measure a tablespoon of egg now? Do you scramble it and put it in?

Thanks for all the breakfast ideas, I finally settled on 1/3 banana and half a Powercrunch bar, I get them at Nutrisport, have only 10gm carbs and 14 gms protein , sometimes i still have eggs or cheese, will try the turkey bacon and quiche idea, not too sure about grits but thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate everyone taking the time to give me ideas....deb
