6. What do you ususally eat within the course of a day?
My answers are.....

4. 40 - 60 grams
5. 50 - 64 oz.
6. I usually have cream of wheat for breakfast, and for dinner and sometimes lunch as well I have been eating chicken salad (or tuna salad) and cheese. I have tried other things, but seem to tolerate this well...Sometimes I will have chili....I think I will try some fish soon....we'll see....

Hi Monique,
Let me join in on the festivities:
1. 24 pounds
2. Walking
3. Other than one stitch not dissolving properly, everything has gone very smoothly. Once I found out what the issue was (I was afraid I had given myself a hernia....) the use of a panty girdle has made life a lot more comfortable!
4. I get in at least 60 grams of protein with the use of protein bars
5. Liquids have given me more of a challenge, usually 32- 50 ozs
6. Breakfast is a shake with 1/2 C skim milk, 1/4 C low fat/no sugar added vanilla ice cream and 1/3 C Protein powder that I got at BJ's for a total of 31 g protein
Lunch is usually 1/2 C chile and 1/2 C no fat riccotta cheese for a total of about 24 g protein
Dinner is 1 C of whatever is served to the rest of the family which will usually have enough g of protein to take me over the 60 grams, if not I have a protein bar that has 20 g protein (with low fat and low sugar.
Before bed I may indulge myself in a sugar free popsicle.
Hope everyone else is doing well and all is going well!

ShelleyAnne T (8/19/06) I FEEL FANTASTIC!!!
1. How much have you lost?
32 lbs. as of 10 days ago. Not going to get back on the scale until the 28th, next doc. appointment.
2. What are you doing for exercise?
Unfortunately, I exercise very little. I just don't have room for it in my schedule. I'd like to try to get up really early and go to the gym before work. Perhaps next week.
3. Are you having any problems/ complications?
I'm bad at not drinking w/food. Sometimes I need it to get the food moving. I also have overeaten a couple of times, which have made me throw up a little bit. I get tired of constantly putting something in my mouth.
4. How much protein have you been getting in?
Probably not enough. I'd say 40g.
5. How much water/ liquids have you been getting in?
Not enough. Working on that, though.
6. What do you ususally eat within the course of a day?
Yogurt in the AM, occasionally a vial of profect (although that stuff is not tasting good to me at all, anymore!), shredded chicken for lunch, fish for dinner. I just went grocery shopping to mix things up a little bit, so hopefully I can introduce some better things. I also just ordered the sample pack of protein supplements from BariatricEating.com, because I know I need my protein, and I am not doing a good job of getting it in.
