Scale not moving

I am so depressed and sad. I have not lost a pound in 8 days. i have recovered from the stricture and the scale is not moving. I am getting my protein and started 30 minutes on the elliptical every day this week. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???? I am thinking I may be one of those people that do not lose a large amount of weight. Is anyone having this problem. What should I do?

I'm stuck too, and I have been since Week 3, it's almost Week 5. I'm starting to get scared, but I've heard this is normal and just take hang on. So I'm hanging. Amber

I'm so there with you Amber! I thought my stall was over a few days ago, but I was wrong. I admit that I also started wondering if I had somehow screwed it up or I was going to be that small percentage that it doesnt work for. I think we should all tell ourselves to relax and just 'be'!

I have been stuck from week 3 to 5 as well. It's soooo frustrating, and scary!

Have you tried measuring? I know that I was in your shoes of discouragement and then measured for my one month mark....I was so shocked! Your body may just be in an adjustment mode. Remember too....the almighty scale is important, but even more important in my mind is how you're feeling and the choices you're continuing to make for a lifestyle change. At least that's how I'm trying to approach it! Best to you! Christina S

I agree totally with Christina, you need to measure yourself to see if there is any loss, you can have slumps through. Make sure you get your protein and water in and don't get uptight. Each person loses weight at different speeds. Sonya

I think because of the stricture your not getting in all the protein or fluids you need, I know that's the case for me! I've lost inches but not any weight in the last week, I started to get disappointed but realized my body was probably in starvation mode. I'm trying my hardest to add an additional protein drink and get in my fluids. I go back on the 1st for my second procedure to stretch the opening. Janet

Four words for ya: PUT THE SCALE AWAY. Seriously, it will just mess with your mind. You are going to have major stalls. YOUR BODY IS STILL IN SHOCK! Let go of the "all or nothing" thoughts and just tell yourself that IT WILL HAPPEN. YOUR BODY WILL LOSE in its own time. Dawn
