Stricture here too, at 4 weeks post-op!
At first we weren't sure if it was gallbladder pain or a stricture, or even a combination of both, but they did an endoscopy yesterday and discovered that at 4 weeks out (my surgery was 7-17) I had a stricture.
I have to go back in two weeks to repeat he procedure, but can tell you it really wasn't that bad, the IV was the worst part for me! They did put me out to do it, but as soon as I woke up, I got up, used the bathroom, got dressed and was able to go home.
I feel so much better, and can start eating soft foods again today.

They did do it, and boy do I feel better today, but when they make the opening larger they have to go back two weeks later to do it again, to make sure it stays.
There is always a possibility that they have to do it more then 2 times ... but we're hoping for the very best and that they won't have too!

Hi Deanna,
My Doctor called Sunday night to check on me, and told me to make sure I take the healing pills he gave me, he's so sweet. Sine he's close to an hour and a half away he tol me I don't have to come in to see him as long as I'm feeling OK.
Then he had his office staff schedule my next procedure for Sept. 1st. He says it's like anything you stretch, it can go back to a little more than what it was to start with, so they stretch it again.
I'm feeling 100% better than last week, and since I know what to expect I don't mind at all.
The amazing thing was my hubby brought home screws that were 4mm (my stricture size) and 10 mm (the size they streched the opening too), I can't believe how small they are, no wonder we have to chew so well!
