Eating too much (less than two weeks!)
Don-
You've received a lot of great responses and "advice". Just thought I'd throw my two cents in as well. First off...as others have said...You're not alone.
I am 3 weeks out...and was having the same feelings as you...and CRAVING big time for a few things (pizza is screaming for me). BUT, let me tell ya...I just had my first dumping episode...on chicken..which I had tolerated fine for the last three weeks. I believe I ate too fast, maybe too big of chunks (hopefully), but the dumping was awful!! SO painful and was only relieved by puking.
I guess I tell you this to say that you will have your moment. Some of us just take longer than others...or in my case...got a little careless. I firmly believe that the "punishment" I just went through WILL make me be more aware of how and what I'm eating again. Your surgery is working....It WAS worth it. Keep doing the right things.

Hi Angry Don,
I heard something recently that made a lot of sense (and that I had not considered)... We had a lot of rearranging done inside and some nerves and tissue cut, so it is going to take some time for these things to heal and for you to get back the sensations you had before surgery. So just because you're not feeling the sense of fullness, etc doesn't mean that you won't. Perhaps that's why they tell you to measure things at this stage, because you can't physically detect fullness yet, and you don't want to stress the new suture lines and stretch you new pouch.
I guess the bottom line is... be patient, let your body heal and did I mention be patient?!!!!
Good Luck,
Sue
