Not feeling great today
Not sure why today is particularly unpleasant but there it is. Was up much of last night with severe gas pains that did not respond to simethicone or walking. Today having trouble keeping a protein shake down, and VERY tired. This too shall pass, I know, it is just frustrating . . .
Hope you all are having a better day
Jezia
Sorry to hear your not feeling well Jezia! I'll send lots of good thoughts and wishes your way.
Yesterday I left work feeling awful, very cold, and achy everywhere, even my eyes hurt. I took a pain pill and got the foamies really bad, kept dry heaving too, it was nasty. Today I'm feeling better, have no idea what was wrong but it felt just like the flu. Tired has been my middle name this last week, I'll be glad when this passes!
Have you tried the new Gas-X strips? They work pretty good for me.
Janet
Hi Jezia, I was just behind you, surgery on the 14th of July and have had many tired days lately. They said on the board that the 3rd and 4th week are when your body is the most tired. Sorry about the gas pains, haven't had them as of yet. I have been frustrated some days as well. Hope it gets better for you quickly! HUGS!!! Wendi
Hey girl!
You mean you can usually keep a protein shake down?! I can't even get half a one down yet. I haven't found one yet I can stomach, which ones do you use?
the gas pain sounds horrible, I haven't had any yet, but it sounds like something you are eating is disagreeing with you. I heard some people react that way to the whey in some of the protein shakes.
and tired, yes, I know about tired, when does the energy part of having this surgery kick in????? I'm right there with ya, we will get through it!
blessings,
Jaime
Hi Jaime
I've been using the IDS Vanilla Cinnamon protein powder, which I mix up with vanilla soy milk and a tablespoon of peanut butter. I can get it down VERY slowly. But today I haven't been able to get much down at all . . . what DOES seem to stay down is, of all things, boiled potato (small pieces). ~shrugs~ Not much protein there, but so be it for today
Hugs
