Seriously...I am three weeks out now (7/11) and have lost a total of 30 lbs. I go up and down a couple of pounds some days (I guess water weight). I have started adding some spices to my foods and I am sure that some of them have salt and that is the culprit. But, I will say...I am sooooooooo burned out on chicken, chili beans, yogurt and mashed potatoes. Anyone got any great ideas. I read where someone suggested the tuna and ff ranch or mayo....I am trying that today! I just don't want to eat anything. I returned to work this week (I teach school) and whew...I am pooped! I have never been so exhausted! I tell you one thing..I am so frustrated that some people are riding me about "you are not eating enough" "shouldn't you be eating a snack". I want to throw my food at them ... even though it would not make a big mess! LOL I have to admit I am a little frustrated because I have not lost any weight in one week. Now, I started doing intense exercising this week..so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Any insight on that one from anyone else? I really appreciate all the prayers and support from everyone here! Angie

Hi Angie I had my surgery the same day as you, and as of this morning I was down 24 pounds. That is pretty darned good, considering that I might have been 24 pounds in the OTHER direction pretty soon if I had not had this surgery! I can't really see the difference yet, but I know the NEXT 24 pounds will be quite noticeable. I'm struggling with what to eat when, and find that I . . . spit up foods in a rather unpredictable way. Something I ate fine yesterday might not go down today. This morning I tried something new. I took a small steak (very tender), cooked it on a George Foreman grill, cut it into TEENSY pieces before I ate any of it, and managed to get about 2 ounces down without any difficulty. Woo HOO, progress! And my dogs were very happy that I could only eat a tiny bit. I hear that a stall is common in week 3; I wouldn't worry about it too much. I am trying not to weigh more than once or twice a week; obsessing over a pound here or there is not going to help when I have so MANY of them to get rid of! I'm impressed that you returned to work already; I have a couple more weeks off. I had open surgery, and a DS, and maybe that makes a difference. I could handle my work load ok, but it takes me forever to get cleaned up, take care of my incision, eat, take vitamins, and make my various bathroom runs that I am all worn out by the time THAT is done with! I'd never make it to work before noon at this rate. Hang in there, Angie! Jezia

Angie, Im right about where u are. Mine was 7/12 and I lost alot of wt the first 2 weeks and now its starting to slow down. I think as long as I continue to loose a couple lbs a week Im not going to stress. At first u loose alot of water wt. Now we are burning stored up fat. As for being exhausted are u taking a B complex vit and are u eating any carbs? U do need to keep up your energy so u can move. Exercise is important. When u start exercising u are building up muscle as well as loosing fat. So dont worry about that scale if u know u are doing all the right things....It will catch up Mariah
