I have two types of back pain since surgery - The first is if I drink too fast, I get a pain that starts under my ribs and radiates through my back! The second is lower back pain, and I think that's just from lying around. What type of back pain do you have? Janet

My back hurts too. Its from not standing up straight, and laying on it. It will get better, I called the doctor because it was really bugging me and he told me to get liquid tylenol if it was really bad. It should get better.

I have the same lower back pain, and I was thinking maybe I was not standing as straight as usual. Finally I went to Walgreen pharmacy where they have those massage pads on a chair right next to the pharmacy. I'm going back there again tomorrow. Judy

My back pain started a few days ago and it's the upper/middle back area. I think it's from the lack of activity, standing up straight and laying around too much. I was very active pre-surgery and I think my body is getting persnickety at this lack of activity, lol! I can't wait until I'm up and running again. I think our back pain will go away once the healing improves and the energy rises. Hang in there. I'm 2 weeks out today so I think we're all feelin' it! Hang in there! We'll see the benefits soon!

Jessica- I have back pain from not being active as much as I used to be and sleeping in the recliner for 2 weeks now. I'm going to check into when I can go back to my chiropractor because I know I just need a good adjustment. If your pain is more severe than the normal ache, I'd check into it. Best wishes, Christina S

I have also have backpain daily since my surgery last wee****ep thinking it is from the horrible hospital bed mattress, that I lived on for 4 days last week. Now I'm wondering if it is something else? I did develop a yeast infection, however, maybe I/we have a UTI? I know that is more common with back pain. Are you having any of those symptoms? I'm going to investigate this further. ciao, Maryellen

You may be 2 far out at 2 weeks for this, but I was having some back pain in the hospital and discovered it had a lot to do with needing to relieve gas. If you are still gassy this may be the culprit and walking really seems to help. Monique D.
