& 25 #s down! I start to think that I'm not losing as fast as I should, but then think twice....I've never lost 25#s in 3 weeks before. & I'm a lite weight so hopefully all is well. Good luck July babes!

Hi, congratualtions! You should be proud of yourself and happy about your weight loss. Did you measure yourself? I haven't taken my measurements yet, but I am sure inches are falling off too! Keep positive! My surgery was 7/05 and I also have lost 25# (& a lite weight). I was worried at 1st about the weight loss, but I would rather it come off a little slower. I am thinking that may possibly help with the saggy skin issue. I don't know.

Congratulations to both of you! I had surgery two weeks ago on the 17th but was required to be on a 2 week pre-op liquid diet so I've lost 31lbs all together. It just amazes me! Janet

I was reading up on the weight loss.....seems that people who were on the pre op diet loss less weight after surgery then those that didn't ......the pre op dieters loss their "water weight" before surgery and after surgery the weight loss is true fat weight loss. Those who didn't diet before are losing more afterwards because of the combination of water first and then fat loss. I am 3 weeks out of surgery - loss 10 lbs in 12 days of pre - op diet and 17 lbs loss post op for a grand total of 27 lbs. not too shabby weight loss for 1 month's time. Its feels good to be on the losers side. Marleen

Congrats all! I am 3 weeks and down 23 lbs. I am having issue with eating slower. When I get "hungry" I eat too fast. Any good tips?

Hi!! My name is Ree Ree and I live in MS. I had lap RNY on 7-11 and I was on Slim Fast for one week pre-op and lost 9 lbs. Since surgery, I'm down 27lbs. I had begun to get depressed because I thought that I was not doing well but I see I'm on schedule. However, I do have issues with the protein and fluids. What are you guys doing? What protein are you using and are you having success? Ree Ree

Hi- I'm Lisa! I started out at 257 at the first dr. appointment in May, day of surgery I was 247 on the hospital scale. 9 days post op at the dr. office I was 237 but my scale at home said I was about 232. Since the dr. appointment, the scale has been up/down the same amount. AF started on Sunday, so it's been pegged for a few days, but was down .8 pounds yesterday and down almost 1 pound this morning. I have a follow up with my Dr. on Tuesday the 8th and hope that by their scale things have moved. I haven't measured yet, but I know that I've lost inches just by the way my clothes and especially my bras are fitting. So we'll see on Tuesday how I'm doing. I'm doing pretty well with my protien intake, for lunch I've been doing tuna salad or crab salad made at home. The scrambled egg didn't sit well at all, my first soft food and I was back to liquids for a few days- gave me horrible stomach pains, bloating and cramps for 2 days. My pouch definitely didn't like the egg! I've ordered all my protien at bariatric eating too- the site is great! I have to schedule a follow up with my nutritionist, after eating the egg, I'm a bit hesitant to eat anything new that would make me feel like that. But I know that it needs to be done.
