Any ideas for stage 3 (puree) meals????
scrambled eggs are really good. i mixed a large egg with 1/4 scoop of protein mix (plain) and 1 tbsp of cottege cheese - it was a little of an odd texture but definitely tasty. also a hard boiled egg mashed with a bit of lite mayo.
also, i ate a bit of what my son (16 months) eats - chicken carrots and potato cooked really well then food processed.
lastly, i ate some tuna fish - again well mashed.
oh - and tofu - a little soy sauce and it worked for me.
hope this helps - i'm in stage three still and would love more ideas too.

I had my surgery on the 12th and I was sick of soup on the 4th day. This past week I have had pinto beans and cheese from taco bell. Ive had cauliflower and broccoli with cheese....smashed all up with a fork. Ive even had philly cheese. Ive not had any problems. I havent eaten more than Im supposed to and Ive been very careful to follow my meal times and protein schedules. I had the RNY lap if that makes a difference. I was supposed to be on full liq for 4 weeks....
Ive lost 25 lbs so far so its not keeping me from loosing.

Hormel turkey chili with beans
smoked pork tenderloin with a little milk and tbls of cream cheese pureed really well
refried beans with meat and salsa
refried beans from Taco bell
a pork bbq rib with mustard pureed really well
cottage cheese
yogurt
scrambled egg
cheese grits
mashed potatoes w/ gravy
mixed veggies and cheese all pureed together
I basically blend up what I cook for the family and eat with them at dinner. I normally have left overs for lunch the next day. That is if I really like it. I drink one protein drink a day and get the rest in from food. I use fitday.com to track my daily intake and it lets me know if I am on track. I eat between 400 and 500 calories a day with half the calories and protein coming from my shake.
As I wrote all of this out it really seemed like I have been eating a lot but realizing it is only a few bites of something and I like variety. I just hope I keep tolerating things as well as I have been. I don't do throwing up very well.. LOL One thing I found out is that 2% milk is a no no. (didn't have skim wont happen again)
I hope this helps some. If you tolerate most things well then just experiment with different things and remember to just puree everything really well. I am looking forward to moving on to the soft foods stage in 10 days.
