I had my surgery on the 12th
Morning everyone, I just wanted to let u all know that I had my surgery on wed morning at 11 am as expected. Not one thing went wrong. I am being taken very good care of by my husband and my parents. Im going to recoup at my parents house for about a week before going home.
I was on ice chips only on Wed and on Iv dilauted pain meds. Then thu I was put on clear liquids for breakfast and lunch and by dinner my IV was out and I was on full liquids and on liquid loratab. Which is what Im still on today.
Ive been belching since day one and then on Fri I started passing gas the other way... I was so glad. Ive heard so many say that 7 days out they still hadnt started to pass gas or have a bm....well Im still havent had that one but at least I dont feel like Im going to explode from gas.
I guess they really pump alot of gas in you when they do it lap. So far so good.

Kathi,
So far its been easy sailing for me. If u have someone to keep you on schedule and knows what u should be doing. It really helps. I was lucky enough that my mother took the job of babysitter for me. Shes the reason I think Ive done so well. She takes walks with me. She gets my meals when Im to sleepy. She plain ole keeps my but on track doing what I should be doing.
I'll keep you in my prayers and pray that u have someone that can help you out after surgery. Theres nothing like a mommy when u need taken care of. I do have to say that most of this has been easier than I ever though it would be. im really affraid to say that ....but its the truth.
