Start clear liquids today!!!!!!!
I cant believe I am having surgery Monday. Im at work right now and really cant think of anything but my surgery and all the things I need to do. I just cant relax. I have been looking into WLS for some time now and have been reading the board for the past year and now Im having surgery Monday the 17th. I have a hard time believing the day is almost here. My insides are just churning!!! Sorry for the rambling, I just needed to talk. My family is very supportive but I dont want them to worry any more then they already are if I let my true feelings show. On the outside I appear calm, but on the inside Im a nervous mess..
Thanks for listening, Marie
It's normal to feel nervous. It's SURGERY. And it doesn't hurt to let your family know you are nervous---they're probably feeling the same things, but don't want you to know that they're worried for you....
I'm 4 days post-op now, but I was only able to sleep about 2 hrs the night before surgery. I woke up, packed my suitcase again because I decided to put my robe on top (as if that really made a difference), went out on the back deck in the middle of the night and talked to the dogs, watched something on TV that I can't even remember now, etc. And this is from a person who had carpal tunnel surgery last Novemeber, and arthroscopic surgery on her knee in May!
Just be confident in your decision, and hopeful for your new
and healthier life.
(And , remember, a few good drugs post-op don't hurt, either! LOL)
