Well Kathy I guess your surgery is completed. I thought of you today when I was having that awful stress test. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope to hear from you when your feeling up to it. Gloria

Gloria, My PCP postponed my surgery 12 hrs before because I came back diabetic in one of the tests she ran that was not required of my surgeon. I had never had diabeties before. I was in the bowel prep stage before surgery and was totally freaking out. In hind sight now I am glad that the surgery was postponed and I am in good health now. In March I felt horrible and just like a typical fat person blamed everything on my weight. Not realizing there was something wrong with my body. My surgery is now scheduled for July 11th. I am feeling 110% healthier now and I am sure I will recover much easier than I would have in March my original surgery date. Be thankful you have a DR that cares. God will get you through this. Pam

I think it is pretty common to have extra tests required. I had to have an endoscopy + biopsy, and sigmoidoscopy (like colonoscopy) which I had a REALLY hard time accepting. The extra tests delayed me a month in this process. Turned out it was over so quick it was silly for me to worry. I have heard of other people having to do a stress test.
