2 weeks from today

2 weeks from today I'll leave home around 4:15-4:30 AM & be at the hospital @ 5:30AM. I'll be taken back by 7:30. Estimated surgery time 1 1/2 -2 hours. Then I'll go to recovery for however long. Then i'll go to my room if everythings ok. That evening nurses will get me up to walk. The next morning I'll have the leak test or whatever its called. i'll probably be leaving the hospital on July 9. Drains will be removed before I leave. I'll probably wonder if I did the right thing. 1 year & 2 weeks from today I'll probably be on vacation....maybe on a beach somewhere with my family. Instead of wearing capris & big shirts, I'll be wearing nothing more than shorts & a tank (less if things go better than expected). I won't feel like a beached whale. I'll be comfortable in my own skin. Or maybe we'll be at Dollywood (love the mountains) or Disney riding all those fun rides with the girls. I'll know without a doubt I did the right thing by having WLS. & I'll thank God from today until my last day on Earth for giving me a 2nd chance.
