Topic: RE: Where's Peter????????????
We will be living in NY city. We are close to the subway so getting to suburbs is easy but I think Buffalo would be a tough comute.

Thanks for the offer. I will let you know. At this point I'm looking to probably stay in teaching or at least technology support of some kind. I'll keep you posted if that changes.

Pete,
What area are you moving to? My SIL teaches in the Buffalo area. They live in Amherst. I wasn't sure if you were moving to NY city or just somewhere in NY state. LOL So, if that is anywhere close to you, let me know and I'll contact her.

Hi Peter! I know you teach, and i dont know if thats the same job you are looking for, but i have a friend who works in Soho at a real high end furniture store. I know they're looking for sales people. He makes good money too! We were just talking about it yesterday and with commissions, he makes about 90k a year. I dont know if you need experience or not (he has been a furniture designer before). If your interested, i'll find out the name of the store (i forget what it is but i know its modern style furniture that they make).
Topic: RE: Checking in- Way over due?
Hi Pattiann! Good to hear from you but so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. And the car accident, wow what a year. Enjoy each day you have with your dad, as hard as caring for a parent can be at times, you will never regret this time you have with him. Stay healthy girl, and check in more often.

Great to hear that all is well and that you are moving here. You'll get to meet some of us New Yorkers on this board. I just discovered that Andrea's parents live her in Yonkers where I live. Small world. Hopefully we'll meet soon.

Hi Pattianne
Sorry for your loss of your Mom and for all the bad things that happened to you. You just have to take one day at a time. Get yourself healthy and stick by your Dad. I'm sure he needs you.
Keep us posted.

Topic: Checking in- Way over due?
Hi everyone
Hope all is well with all of you.
I have a had rough year-- car accident- fractured spine 3 places- crushed my rib cage- whole in lung.. I lived though. My mom was hospitalized in Nov and passed away CHristmas Eve. I had just returned to work Dec 5 - same hospital she was in.. My life has been hectic to say the least. During the 6 weeks she was in I lost another 20 lbbs.. Stress will do that.
I am currently 158 SIze 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a different person( looks only)
still the same inside- lost a part of me when my mom passed.
I have been dating in between this- nothing that lasts.. not sure if it me, my choices in men or what.
Work keeps me busy- I have my dad with me- he and my mom were married 60 years 7 months- they were inseparable- i am helping him keep on.
Sorry for the sad post- I am usually very positive- but life sure threw a few curves.

July 28...
Justin, Marge, and I may well crack open a bottle of Champaign to celebrate your day!!! It's exciting to see so many of us taking the wonderful opportunities this surgery has offerred.
I hope that Peter's house sells quickly... at least before all the snow melts. Looking forward to reading about your future plans.
Admiringly,
