Hey Nancy, so good to see you around again! I know right where you are and I too had a hysterectomy in 03 because of the exact same reason! I had to follow up with some IV iron infusions to finally get my red count up but once I did it was the greatest thing! Take it easy and heal well. Hugs back at you! Debbie

Great news Debbie! We all talk about looking good and feeling better about ourselves but for me personally the health benefits of WLS were my number one reason for having it. I'm so happy for you that your health is good. It's funny where you run into other bariatric patients too! At my old job we hired another inspector who also had gastric bypass. Talk about your instant connection! Take care Tim

Topic: Had my stress test...
Hey, I know I told some of you that when I had my physical a couple of weeks ago, that my EKG showed something "abnormal" (their words) and they wanted me to take a stress echo to see if there was any damage to the heart or if I had at some time had a mild heart attack and didn't know it. Well, long story short, I passed with flying colors! They said they found NOTHING at all and that my heart was very healthy looking and in all likely hood the EKG was just done wrong or maybe even had an electrode on wrong or something. I completed the treadmill "race" to the end with no problem. So I felt so good that I did that and that there was no problems. Now the funny part, the tech that did the test had me wait 20 minutes and then repeated the EKG to make sure, so we had some time to talk. She asked if I had lost a lot of weight recently so I shared that I had gastric bypass and had lost 200 lbs. She said she too had gastric in Dec. 05 and had lost 140 lbs! We shared some stories and then found out we used the same surgeon! What a small world. She is going to join my Sat. morning support group. She too can't go to the one our surgeon has in the evenings and was thrilled there were others. Sometimes God puts us in a place for a reason. Have a great week everyone!

Nancy, So sorry to hear about your recent surgery.. But YOU LOOK GREAT!! I sound like Joan Rivers.. Ha!! .. Nancy if Insurance said they will pay for it when you are 2 years out then go for it!.. I am waiting now to find out what my carrier says... I am always interested in what everyone is doing and how all our paths are so alike in so many ways... Not just the WLS, but all the ordinary things that brings us all closer to each other. Stay well honey.. peace Mo

Tim- Belated congrats to you! I am so happy. How is the new job going? Are you going to give up your idea to be an inspirational speaker or writer,or are you planning that as well. I still think you should look into those areas once you get settled in your new job! Andrea

Nancy, It's good to hear from you. Glad you got the problems under control now. It's no fun, but SO worth it! Keep us posted on your plastics stuff. I'm thinking of looking to see if my insurance will cover any of it. Who knows... but I'd like to have a few things done. I think I'm chicken though. We'll see! HUGS K

Geesh Dave, I'm exhausted just reading it! GOOD GRIEF! I wish I could grow anything! I've always wanted a memorial garden for my daughter. My husband suggested a rock garden. LOL Not a bad idea I suppose. I just don't have what it takes to garden a real plant. HUGS Kimberly
