Topic: Hi!
I just wanted to wish you all Happy Surgiversary! I know i disappeared to other OH boards and haven't really kept up. For that i apologize. my life is 1000 times better today than two years ago and i suspect most of us could say the same. I live in Michigan now, am healthier than i've ever been, wear a size 34 pants and am marrying a gorgeous fellow g.a.p. on September 8th. I wish you all the best and once again thank you all for the support you gave me freely when it was needed. Special hello to Tim and Nancy who I know from another board.

I was FAT! Today I'm down 120 lbs and wearing a size 8. Who would have ever thought? I still would like to lose another 10 lbs but I'm very happy where I'm at. Would love to have plastics but I don't see that happening any time soon. I have my 2 year appointment on Aug 2 and I will let you know what he says. I know that I will get talked to about all the coffee and not enough water or the vitamins (I don't take them). There was so much that I thought I was doing when I was over weight but now that I'm not there is so much that I can do. Loving like and enjoying every minute! Tammy

Topic: RE: 2 year follow up
Glad you're doing so well. I have a confession to make. I never even went for my ONE YEAR follow up, BUT, in my defense, I have had blood work regularly at my PCP (who is also a WLS patient). Follow ups to my surgeon have been so inconvenient based on his location and office hours and all for a 2 second visit - he doesn't even do labs unless there's a concern, so I just do it all with my PCP. I do want to send my surgeon an AFTER picture or something though - at least for my file - they can check me off as a success! LOL

Topic: RE: Happy Re-birthday everyone!
Thanks Deb! & Happy 2nd year everyone. Here in South Florida it's hot baby Hot!!.. I'm doing well. I'm living my life as a thin person these days and it's a whole new world. AFter years of being hot and uncomfortable I'm experiancing a new weightless life. I feel like somebody let me loose in space and I have no gravity.. It surley is amazing to be able to walk fast, run, and do everything faster and more effectivley than before. My anniversary of the surgery is the 18th. I'm weighing in at around 125 pounds.. Happy and thankful am I. peace Mo

Topic: RE: Anyone had VSG?
Cindy, I'm not sure that anyone on this board has had the VSG. Maybe someone will chime in, but not sure of that. Have you tried the main board? Maybe try the WLS Grads board too. Just some ideas... HTH

You are so right about enjoying the process. It is hard to have fun with it sometimes but we are doing pretty good at it. One of the things I think that has helped us, is keeping it small. We are only having about 50 people at the wedding. We will post photo's as soon as we are back from our honeymoon. Hope all is going well for you. Take care!

Topic: Happy Re-birthday everyone!
Hi gang. Just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a happy second re-birthday! This is our month, so how are you celebrating? Just enjoying life after obesity? Doesn't that sound good? Here in Texas , we have had rain, rain, rain, and finally it has stopped and we are drying out. Lots and lots of mowing to do and it feels so good to have the stamina to do these things as well as all the summer fun I used to sit out of because of the heat and my body size etc. So how are you enjoying your anniversary month? Doing anything special? If not, just take a moment to congratulate yourself, remember your life before July 05 and look to the future!

Topic: Anyone had VSG?
I was wondering if anyone here had a VSG and what their life is like 2 years out. Can you eat more? Do you have trouble keep the weight off? What is a 'normal' day's food like? How much fluid can you drink in one go? Thanks in advance. I'm finding it hard to find VSGers a year or 2 out from surgery. I am considering having one and wanted to know what life is like 'down the track'. Cindy
