Topic: HAPPY RE-BIRTH YA'LL!!!
Sorry I haven't been on here in a really long time guys, but to be honest since my WLS 2 years ago (July 8th) I have had more energy than I can ever remember having,...even as a child!!! It's AMAZING and so WONDERFUL!!! God has been so good to me and my family.
Heck...I have so much energy that I got so darn tired of sitting at home all day long while my husband works that a year ago I started my own business...I'm now feeling needed and wanted and we are bringing in more money...so who can complain about that hua...LOL
Running around playing with my children has been the high-light of my life guys....Nothing in the world can compare to being able to just jump up and play around with your children like there won't be a tomorrow...we are making memories that will last a lifetime...and to hear all the laughter around my house now...it's such a glorious sound.
For anyone considering having WLS....Pray....God will give you the answer...heck, if you are at the point in your life right now where it's even a question, don't you think you are being led to make that decision? Just pray! It will become clear to you.
To all of my WLS Family....You guys have been so great...all of the support, prayers and long nights chatting when I just needed someone to talk to were all a blessing from all of you Angels! My prayer is that your WLS experience has been as wonderfully life-changing as mine, and that you and your families are well and happy.
Love ya'll,
Tanya

Congrats, Tammy, on a great two years, and on loving life!!
Mo gave you a bit of a talking-to, so I'll spare the drama, however...to continue loving life please do take your vitamins and drink your water...we can so easily become malnourished, and I'd hate to see you take a step backwards health-wise!
I, too, have lost 120 pounds and wear size 8s.... I actully even have one pair of jeans that is a size 6!! Holy toledo...I could not have imagined this two years ago!
best wishes...
Lori

Two years. I began this journey at 325lbs.
Yesterday I had my 2 year post op appt with my RNY surgeon and was 148lbs. That's a total lost of 177lbs.
I use to wear size 32 pants. I wear size 10's now.
I use to wear size 3-4x tops. I can get into snug extra smalls. Never in a million did I imagine that would happen.
I had high blood pressure, diabetes (type 2), sleep apnea, chronic asthma, bad knees and joint pain, and my bmi when I began was 62.
I now have normal blood pressure, no diabates, sleep wonderfully, no asthma, knees rock and no pain and my bmi is 26.1 today.
I walk about 12-15 miles a week, ride horses probably 4 times a week for about an hour each time and try to play with the big exercise ball at least once a day. (strengthens abs!)
I've felt like this was the best thing I ever did in my life.
And deep in my heart, I wish my Dad were alive and could see how I have changed, inside and out. The last time he saw me I weighed in the 180's and hadn't had plastics yet.
I was able to climb down a cliff in Canada recently to spend the morning fishing in a lake and climb back up that cliff without killing myself. Had I been where I was at the beginning of my journey, not possible.
Yesterday at my post op appointment, people in the office (nurses and my surgeon) were all stunned at how I've changed. They were simply tickled that things are going well. My labs were perfect and I can only hope they remain that way. Indeed it could change in an instant, so I watch my intakes as best as I can.
Thanks for letting me share this special time and here's the url to my photo retrospective slideshow of my journey.

Hi Tammy, Yes honey I was fat too!..lol!. Tammy I thought about what you wrote about not taking vitamins and knowing that you have your appointment coming up with your doctor it's like looking for a excuse to be told you are not doing the right thing. Who needs that?.. Whya don't you do the right thing for your self and step up and follow the rules honey?.. When you get on here or any Gastric Bypass forum and declare to us that you don't take your vitamins ever do you think we think thats smart? or that you discoved that WLS people don't need vitamins?.. Tammy the plain truth is you should be taking the vitamins. Because eventually not taking them will ctach up with you and you will get sick. It's very simple what we were asked to do before surgery and it's nothing to be proud of if you don't follow the rules... So if your looking for your doctor to give you a good talking too beat him to the punch and tell him your friend Mo already did.
peace
Mo
