Topic: Doing the Walk for Breast Cancer
Greetings all- Pete and I are back from our honeymoon and I am a little pudgier.. uh oh. I've decide to try to do something good for women everywhere while getting my butt back in gear (no more tropical drinks). I am doing the Avon walk for Breast Cancer. It is a two day walk. I have chose to set my goal as 26 miles- 13 miles each day. I have started training late, so I don't think 39 miles is doable in only a month. Some thoughts for you all- Has anyone else done the creep up? I am about 15 pounds heavier than my lightest ever and about 10 pounds up from my normal. I stand in awe of people who have continued to lose, and would love to get their thoughts and their wisdom. Secondly, if anyone does want to contribute to the charity, please feel free to visit my web page and donate. (Thanks Tim for your contribution)! Please don't feel obligated- I actually thought about not asking you guys, but then realized most of us our women, and breast cancer hits close to home. I have lost an Aunt and cousin to breast cancer, and have a cousin and numerous friends that are still fighting the battle. I am obligated to raise $1800, but have set my goal higher. Finally, as soon as we get the professional wedding pictures, we'll send everyone a link to view them. Hope everyone is doing well. Hey Jennifer! So good to hear your doing well. Seems like getting through the first week is the key. Sounds like you did it! Hard to believe he took 5 pounds off your breasts! Lord, no wonder you had back pain. Take care, and don't do too much too soon.

woo weee!!!!! My sweet little girl just got out of the hospital last night. She was in there for 6 days. I have not even been home in 6 days. I couldn't leave her. She was so sick. Her left lung had closed up and not getting any air and the right one was just a little open. She is doing better now and we got to sleep in our beds last night. It was so wonderful. Hope all of you are doing well. Lots of love Amy

got my stitches out yesterday- FREE I"m free at last- ok only 10 days post op... yesterday and today- was like some one flipped the switch- and i don't have any head/sick to stomach problems... hardly any pain- just regular tylenol now... it's amazing... i still fit into my old bras.. (he took almost 5 pounds off- and I'm still HUGE) but it's swelling- i am very happy on how they look and i don't have these waterballoon bouncing when i walk- my back is pain less... my shoulders are pain free... even my posture is different - my shoulders are back- not forward and huntched foward.... i'm standing tall.... (as tall as a 5'2 can) every once in awhile i have to catch myself- and slow down- and relax only been a day and a half that i've been feeling well... off to bed... jennifer
