Hey Man, keep us posted on how you are doing. It is very hard going through career issues. For me one of the hardest times of my life was when I lost my restaurant and on top of being bankrupted spent 3-4 months out of work. The only advice I can really give is to keep plugging away at. On top of that sometimes if you don't find what you want, just doing something like classes, job you don't really want, anything helps until the thing we really want comes along. I spent 2 months managing fast food before i found a new job I liked. It seems like it is always easier to find a new job if you employed or going to school. I know my response is late and not overly chipper but hey just remember, things WILL get better. Just think you could be going through all this and be obese. So things could be worse.

You're looking great! Congratulations. I wish I could get on one of those home improvement shows. I have the worlds ugliest bathroom (very pink from the 70's), upstairs overdone with cheap wood paneling, desparately need new carpet and 2 of the rooms have bad wallpaper from the 70's. Can't afford to do all this stuff especially the bathroom (those are expensive to remodel). Congrats on your the new house! And have fun seeing your Mom.

I want to MAINTAIN. My biggest worry is with my doctor telling me to increase my calorie intake, I will start forming bad habits. Getting better muscle tone would also be nice. But I guess I would need to improve my excersise routine in order for that to happen.

Amy! Girl! You kill me! Your posts always crack me up! Know what though...I get my shorts mixed up with my sons (he just turned 8 last week). I tried on one of his shirts the other day....too small in the shoulders and neck, but it actually fit me everywhere else. I sorta freaked a little.

Hey Tim, I haven't been on here in a few months, but your's is the first post I read. I was in the same situation (got laid off June 21) and just got a new job Sept 6!!! The one good thing I can say for the company that let me go - they paid for my surgery!! HAHA!! Anyway, things will get better, they did for me! If you want any contacts of recruiters for contract and/or direct work, let me know - I live in Detroit and got my job in Auburn Hills. Hey, what do you do? My company is still hiring!!! Darla

Hey Girl, 4 pounds?? This is sooo freaking exciting...So let's see to celebrate I say a shopping spree is in order. The exciting thing about being at goal means the clothes we buy will actually fit us again next year. I can't remember a time in my life that I was able to wear a pair of jeans for winter and then pull them out the next winter and wear them again. I had either lost or gained to much weight over the year. So this for me is huge. I get to hold on to the 'classics' and then update with whats in style!!! So it's really an investment at this point, right??? About the boobies..... I HAVE NOT totally lost them yet... Well I went from what I thought was a 40 DDD to a 36D ( the granny box bras at Mervyn's)...Pretty much the only thing that would support the 'girls'... Well this weekend I did some shopping and just was not happy with how I was looking up top so I decided to go to Nordstroms and get fit by one of the girls that work there... And OH MY GOODNESS.. What a difference to have a bra that actually fits and looks pretty.. Turns out my size is actually a 32 G !!! Yup that's right... Crazy.. I bought 3 bras at about $60 dollars each.. but it was worth every penny.. My girls are now high and mighty.. It instantly took 5 pounds off of my upper body.. I will get some pics posted this weekend... Congrats girl.. DO let us know what you decide to do to celebrate!! Shannan
