Wow Sue!
They sure are making you jump through a lot of hoops for this. I would hate to see you have to risk your job to get your surgery. I hope it doesn't come to that.
Good luck!

Hi guys, well I have sort of an update also. I got a contract on my house, YIPPEEE, sold it FSBO (Thanks Malibu and the others for their insites as to how to do it) and am gonna use that equity I saved for plastics.
I called my surgeon yesterday and since my initial consult was over 6 months ago, they have to schedule me another one (Jan. 22nd) and will attempt ins. coverage but that will probably not float. So I have to go stand before him in my saggy nekkidness once more, YIKES !!!!!!!!
I am gonna have a belt lipectomy, breast augmentation and thigh lift. Gonna BEG him into also letting me do a mini face lift and skin resurfacing. I want him to go in when he has the belt incision done to touch up small pockets of fat with lipo but they said he usually doesn't like to do that for fear of compromising that new skin flap so we will just have to wait and see.
The thing is that it is almost impossible for me to get off work and they are gonna blow a gasket since it is elective. I know with the new HIPAA laws I do not have to let my employer know what type surgery I am having, but if the insurance company that oversees our human resources rejects the short term disability, that will pretty much let them know in a nutshell that it is elective. Not good.
If I have to request a leave of absence (no pay) they do not guarantee my job upon return. So needless to say this is gonna be an experience I will never forget.

Thanks again!

Talk to your doctor- Back pain is legitimate for insurance purposes. I have been seeing a chiropractor for back pain for a few months-- I doubt the my insurance will cover a tummy tuck, but it might cover a breast reduction-- and while I am in there......
