When I thought things couldnt get worse, they did. I was going to post about this earlier, but I forgot to. On Wednesday this week, I ran my regular 10 mile run, and felt great. Woke up on Thursday morning and couldn't walk on my right foot. Every step I took, a pain just shot way up. I went to the doctor on Friday and got some x-rays. I have a stress fracture. I get to wear this ugly boot thing, or use crutches for a few weeks. I've been instructed to stay off of it for 3-4 weeks. There was only 5 1/2 more til my marathon. I'm not running it now. Everything I've done was useless. All my hard work gone to waste. And I'm in so much pain too. I'm so bummed out. On another note, I had sex again (LOL) and it wasn't so bad the 2nd time. So I guess not all is bad, but anyways.

Ashley, I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. And while it does appear that you won't be able to race I think I must disagree with you when you say everything you've done is useless. It seems to me that you got alot of very good exercise and also benefitted from the mental discipline of athletic training. Let your leg heal up real good and go from there. Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! You'll be back! Tim

I agree with Tim. You met one goal. Getting in shape. Excercising. Being healthy. It is unfortunate you need to postpone the marathon, but it hasn't been a waste. Hopefully that sex stuff will get better and even more fun. -Pam

Ashley- It is NOT over-- Do you realize how much you accomplished?! I know this is very frustrating, but take care of your health and go from there. Think about how much you have done in less than a year? And by the way, you can still exercise... Start doing bicep curls! So sorry to hear about your injury, but don't get down. You have accomplished SOOOO much.

This breaks my heart sweetie! What a disappointment! This happens to runners all the time, but they bounce back! And so will you! Sweetie, you are in amazing shape now...there is no way this was wasted eftort...just bad timing! It's out of your control, just make sure that you do everything to heal yourself properly. Just think-Now you have more time to perfect your "other cardio skills"! Wink! Wink! See....when God closes a door, he opens a window! HA! I hope you think this is funny...otherwise I'm just being a jerk! Love ya babe! C
