ok, so something just dawned on me. since i've known my dh
he's told me how pretty and beautiful I was/am.. right.. but
I would blow that off- and say yeah right.. so then
this photographer gives me the time and day- and could've sold
my soul because he (and the makeup and hair person) just ohed and awed over me- (gave me so much praise and really made me feel GOOD about myself right.. so then i give the pictures to my dh and he says how much he "wants me" and how beautiful and sexy i am- and i lifted me off the ground- over 2 feet... and says "i've never been able to lift you off the ground before" and he can't keep his HANDS or lips off (kissing) me. and I'm loving it (but he was always was a hands on and kiss guy, but I never wanted the "attention") but just since last thursday (picture day).. I love the attention he gives me- and all the hugs and kisses and even the touches he gives me- and I "allow" it... (even though we haven't been able to have "relations" because of work and 3 year old home etc.- time)
but I'm starting to feel "alive" and sexy- like I would love to be taught how to do my make up and hair- and "HOW" to dress... you know... it's just so nice to feel like a girl for once in my life... heck i even painted my nails last night... (fingers not toes)...
what's the next step? where do I go from here? i feel like i should have a plan or goal or something??? there's something else i'm suppose to be doing?
all of this- and i'm a slow loser... today i'm back up to 165 (home scale)- dr scale says 174. I don't think I'll lose anymore- honest- 3 months ago i was 183... (dr scale)... i know i don't get enough protein... i'm lucky if I do 40-45.... but shakes and "bars" make me gag... just not sure what/how to do this- i want to be 135-140.... just don't know "HOW" to get there now... (i would like to be a size 8- not 12/14- i'm happy with it- but don't want to stay here...) i'm only 5' 2".. very small frame- hello my wrists are 5 1/2 inches and ankles are 6 3/4 inches... so do i need do drink the protein drinks- just to get the weight off ??? help please

Okay Jennifer! Here's a suggested plan for you to follow.
Make it a short term goal. Like....until your 1 year anniversary. You don't want to look back and say, "shoulda, woulda, coulda done better!" Right?

I have been losing steadily for 3 months now. I DID hit a snag last week when I gained 3 lbs, but it came off quickly plus 2 more. So I have lost 5 lbs this week. This is what I do:
Get your calories to 1000-1200 ****ep mine at 800-1000, but I'll get "nasty grams" if I tell you to do the same). Get your protein the natural way. I eat lots of steak and chicken with steamed or grilled veggies. Ease up on the carbs unless you are hitting the cardio pretty hard. You need carbs for cardio. I hate the shakes and I hated all protein bars until I found the Zone Perfect bars. The Chocolate Caramel cluster ones are my favorite. They are soo good. Try them. You can get them at Tagret and WalMart. My local grocery stores carry them too, but they are expensive there.
TRACK YOUR INTAKE!!! I can't tell you how important this has been to my success! I never lost consistantly until I started tracking. I get on fitday.com everyday and plot my food and exercise. It lets me know exactly where I fell short that day. I love fitday!! Calories are what I watch the most. I don't worry too much about carbs. My body needs them for the amount of exercise that I do. Protein...I try to hit the 60 mark everyday. I know that others try to get more, but this seems to work for me. I have lost 20 lbs in the last 6-7 weeks.
Get in your exercise! Just make it a priority. If you did nothing else but walk everyday, you would lose about a pound a week. I can't figure out why people are so resistant to the exercise part of the deal. (I don't mean you...just a general statement.) It makes a huge difference when you are in stall mode!
As for the girly stuff!
Go to the mall.......get a make-over at one of the make-up counters. They are free, but you should buy a little something so that you aren't wasting their time. Then......most of the larger stores like: May Co. Macy's, Robinsons, Neiman Marcus, Dillards, Saks.....have personal shoppers. These are people who know how to dress you to flatter your size and shape. They are usually free, but you should use thier services when you are ready to add several pieces to your wardrobe. They can take 8 different things and give you 12 different combos. It's awesome, and it's money well spent, especially if you don't know where to start. You will remember the The info that they give you forever.
Go get a pedicure! You will love it!!! I just did mine this week. I love to look down at my cute little red toenails peaking out of my shoes. And of course, I have a cute lil toe ring thats all sparkly! They aren't very expensive so go treat yourself!

I used Fitday - once last September.
Since my weight loss has slowed to almost a stop, decided Channan is right.
So, I entered yesterday. No wonder the loss has slowed. I ate 1835 calories. At the rate, I won't gain or lose forever. However, my goal isn't to stay even. It is to continue losing. I played soccer last night, so a net loss.
However, I don't excercise daily, but only once a week intensely -- so I can see if I keep at the rate I'm at, no progress.
Okay, my commitment. Excercise 5 times a week. Track food and excercise.
