Folks: I'm quite worried about our older dog, Eliza, who appears to be failing. She's a good communicator and she's always there when needed. After our daughter, Cathy, was murdered, ouranimals were so important. Cathy's cat, Morris, changed from more aloof to a lap cat that evening. There was a great deal of Karmic experience over the next years and Morris helped to usher that in. Eliza shared in that. She's my wife's special pet. She's a thee legged hound mix and her remaining rear leg is locking up and dragging tonight. I will take her to the vet in the morning. Hopefully, our fears will be unfounded. We'll assess throughout the next days/hours and I may post. I ask for your thoughts and prayers. TURN, TURN, TURN... Here's may answers 1) As we approach the 10 month mark (damn- time does fly), think back-- what is your biggest "WOW" moment you have had? When did you have it and how did it make you feel? Traveling comfortably to Williamsburg for Christmas week was an enjoyable trip socially, physically, and intellectually. No put downs, and few sit downs. What was the primary reason you decided to have WLS surgery? Had you been thinking about it a long time,or not? I was dying with some interelated ciculatotory issues, muscle/skeletal issues, cognitive problems and social issues. Every one of those has now been addressed sucessfully. 3) How many states in the US have you been to (airports and drive-thrus count)? What is your favorite city in the US. Over 35 and Chicago remains my favorite. 4) If money was not an object- what is the one place you want to visit the most (that you haven't yet been to)? Costa Rica and visit the Peace University, among the many climes! New Zealand's close, followed by Thialand. 5) Do you get up early in the morning or are you a 'snooze- hitter. Major snooze hitter but my best work is late in the day. 6) How long have you known your best friend? What is he/she like? 17 years, we complement each other. No relation, yet she's my soul sister, not my lover. Dave

Dave- So sorry to hear that Eliza isn't feeling well. I have two four legged children, and I know they are family. Please let us know how she is doing, and I will be thinking of her. Andrea

Quick note for those who may be wondering about Eliza. Her rear knee has degenerated and so bones are popping in and out. If rest and nsaids don't help, surgery will. Thanks for your concern. Dave

Good timing for this A!! 1) As we approach the 10 month mark (damn- time does fly), think back-- what is your biggest "WOW" moment you have had? When did you have it and how did it make you feel? Slippin on those size 14 Jeans and seeing the light in my husband Garys eyes.. My heart just swelled inside me... Realizing that no I never needed a new mattress I fel like a tiny pea on it now. Crossing and uncrossing my long pretty legs!!! Wearing my ankle braclet again all the time! slipping in and out of crowds of people and between them at parties and resturants.. Everything!!! 2) What was the primary reason you decided to have WLS surgery? Had you been thinking about it a long time,or not? I thought about from the moment I knew I was getting bigger and bigger.. You know I have to tell a story here.. One day about oh 17 years ago I woke up and nothing fit. I mean NOTHING. My fat ass coudn't find a comfortable pair of panties that would get on me. I grabbed my pillow and started beating Gary around the head with it yelling at him. "Why did YOU let me get like this? "I screamed. Why did he let me get like this? what was I saying? I egg creamed and Alfredo sauced my entire own way on the road to fat. Why was I screaming like a manic at this sweet man? Who loved me fat or thin?.. Because the Fat was makin' me crazy.. thats why.. I truly belive the fat had touched my brain and I was now loco for good.. I called my mother up ( my she forever rest in peace, and keep sending down her good vibes to me..) and cryed my heart out.. Of course I got her stat answer for things good or bad. "Meet me on the corner of 31st and we'll go to Macy's.." shopping....When I came home that day with the first of what would be years of 1x then 2x then 3x clothes, I knew that eventually this would have to end.. So what I'm trying to say is knew from the moment I go heavy that I was looking for a way out of my fat suit...3 or 4 years ago I started to research Gastric Bypass. Last Feburary of 05' I walked into my Doctors office and asked him to help me lose weight. His answer was had I looked into Gastric Bypass.. I was on my way.. 3) How many states in the US have you been to (airports and drive-thrus count)? What is your favorite city in the US. I have been all over the U.S. and traveled as out of it as Egypt. I would say my almost favorite is Boulder Colorado.. I lived there for 7 years. But y true fav is where I live now..Fort Lauderdale, Florida.. I Love my town.. 4) If money was not an object- what is the one place you want to visit the most (that you haven't yet been to)? I would really like to go to Paris in the spring time and Italy ANYTIME AT ALL.. 5) Do you get up early in the morning or are you a 'snooze-hitter?' Man I was up at 5:am. this morning.. I am a early morning..coffee drinking girl.. 6) How long have you known your best friend? What is he/she like?.. Funny you should ask this. My best friend is a guy. His Name is Mitch. He's a Music Publisist in L.A. .. He was just in my house last night visting from California.. I have know him over 30 years.. I'm 49 remember.. When I was 17 I traveled to London with him, and we have never stopped laughing since.. Mitch is really smart, Hip, Edgy, quick with a comeback and also with a compleiment. He is very into music, His family his lovely wife Rana and there daughter Sorrel. He is my Best Friend. What I got this far and no more questions??!! lol! peace Mo

Good morning everybody. My turn 1) As we approach the 10 month mark (damn- time does fly), think back-- what is your biggest "WOW" moment you have had? When did you have it and how did it make you feel? It's hard to pick just one WOW moment, there have been so many. I think that when I realized my CPAP was doing me more harm than good and that I was better off not using it any more is my favorite. 2) What was the primary reason you decided to have WLS surgery? Had you been thinking about it a long time,or not? I just got tired of the pain, the stares and the fear of wether every night would be my last. I had been thinking about it for about 2 years before my surgery. 3) How many states in the US have you been to (airports and drive-thrus count)? What is your favorite city in the US. I've been to a few. MICH, OHIO, KENTUCKY, TENN, GEORGIA, FLORIDA, PENN, W. VA, VIRGINIA, MARYLAND, INDIANA, IOWA, ILLINOIS, NEBRASKA, SOUTH DAK, COLORADO, WYOMING, LOUISIANA, MISS, CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA Favorite city has to have been New Orleans, we had a blast there! 4) If money was not an object- what is the one place you want to visit the most (that you haven't yet been to)? I would have to go to Ireland and see the ancestral home of the Callahans 5) Do you get up early in the morning or are you a 'snooze-hitter?' I do hat the snooze sometimes but never more than twice. Working nights my wake up time is flexible. 6) How long have you known your best friend? What is he/she like? I have been friends with my bud Ken as long as I can remember. We grew up just a few houses from each other and still live nearby. So that would be 40+ years. He is a great guy but he buys the worst cars on the planet. Guaranteed to break down and need repair on the coldest days of the winter. That was fun! Thanks Andrea Tim

1) As we approach the 10 month mark (damn- time does fly), think back-- what is your biggest "WOW" moment you have had? When did you have it and how did it make you feel? I have lots of "mini" wow moments, little compliments here and there that makes me feel good ... I actually really cant think of a "big" one that would stand out! 2) What was the primary reason you decided to have WLS surgery? Had you been thinking about it a long time,or not? I had first started thinking about it in 2004 weighing 260lbs when a friend's daughter had it done and she looked amazing. I thought it would be great but we were moving to WA, changing jobs and insurance and I still thought I could handle my weight. Less than a year later living in WA I had picked up an additional 60lbs and weighed more than ever. Started having health problems and figured it's now or never ... 3) How many states in the US have you been to (airports and drive-thrus count)? What is your favorite city in the US. Five (CA, WA, OR, DC, NV), and California is definitly my fave ... I loved living there and miss it alot!!!! 4) If money was not an object- what is the one place you want to visit the most (that you haven't yet been to)? Tahiti ... I have a friend that goes there every other year and she says its the most beautiful place ever. 5) Do you get up early in the morning or are you a 'snooze-hitter?' It depends, yesterday I was up at 4am (damn dogs) and feeling great. Today I just couldn't drag myself out of bed and feeling crappy ... this is gonna be a loooooong day!! 6) How long have you known your best friend? What is he/she like? Sad to say that I dont have a best friend, but I have a lot of friends that I guess you could say are all my best friends cuz I love them all and would help them out anytime.
