Everyone forgets about me! Am just kidding, but i've been doing ok just been busy with school and work. Just trying to keep busy. There's alot of changes that I've made in my life that has been taking alot of my time. Am sorry but I'll try to do better. I am down 115 lbs.. and have noticed my weight has slowed down alot.
Hi everyone, thought I would finally come out of lurkerville on this board and finally post. I love coming here and reading what is going on with my fellow July 05 surgery buddies, but I don't post often. Just a quick note about me I started at 388 pre-op was 348 day of surgery and as of today, am now at 229. (Down 119 since surgery-159 total!) and loving life.
OK, I'll bite.
Channan has scolded me for sitting in the background. So here goes.
My name is Bill and I had my surgery on July 11th. I am what is probably considered a lightweight, in that I started at 301 and I only had about 100 pounds to lose. I've lost a little over 90 and the last 10 pounds are going to take a while, if at all. But that's ok. I feel fantastic and I'm doing things that I never dreamed I could.
The main reason that I had the surgery is to help fight my diabetes, high blood pressure, high tryglicerides and sleep apnea. I figured the way I was going, I was going to lose my feet, my eyes or my life within a few years. Now all four problems are either normal or gone.
Been reading the board. You all are nuts, psychotic, crazy and fun to read. Thanks for all the posts and I'll try to add to it.
In the words of Donna the Buffalo,
"Life is strange, life is good, life is all that it should be"
