Trouble with Protein
Is anyone having trouble with protein levels? I went for my 6 month blood test in late January and it states that my protein levels are still low I think it should be a 20 and I was at 18...now keep in mind I have been getting the minimum amount of 60 grams of protein and more...my average day is around 100 grams
What types of protein do we absorb better?
What would you recommend?

Some people swear by whey protiens because they claim they are easier to digest. Everyone is a little different. I believe that protien is protien as long as you are getting it. Did you ask your doctor about this, maybe your body metablizes the protien differently or would the time of day (ie: morning versus late afternoon) that you had the blood test skew the results. My last bloodtest came back really low too. I can not remember the numbers now. I have added an additional protein shake into my day. I go for more bloodwork on the 28th and we will see where I am then.
Now mind you, I get at least 80 grams a day in just with my whey shakes (before I added one in).
I guess we all absorb things differently.
