Shopping is SOooooooooo cool now!!!!!
I remember before WLS.
How I hated shopping with a passion. Not me. Shop? Oh I'd buy stuff off the rack, then take it home and try it on. If it fit I'd keep it, if it didn't I'd scrunge back to the store and return or exchange it. Not once did I walk into a dressing room. Because I could pretty much tell if those size 28 stretch pants and size 3 or 4X top would fit around my butt!
AND NOW.......................
I am a shop-aholic!!!!!!
I go to store after store, trying on this and that, and never ever getting tired or exhausted. I don't even remember shopping being this much fun!!!!!
I recently bought a bunch of great sweaters at JC Penney's winter clearance sale...paid as little as 2.00 for one sweater, and bought about 15 of them, ranging from SMALLS TO MEDIUMS TO LARGES. That way, I have some that don't just fit now, but will later, and some that are big enough that I can wear a turtleneck underneath!!!
The other kick in the pants for me, is NOT HAVING TO SHOP AT THE PLUS SIZE DEPARTMENTS ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BOY......how I remember that! Just the other day I walked into a store and tried on a dress- SIZE 14!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THE COOL PART---IT FIT!!!
WOW this is fun and I feel sorry for sales clerks later this spring as I shop until I drop and get my new summer wardrobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else have shopping frenzies like this that are just so awesome you could scream?????
Actually, I'm getting overwhelmed by the choices. Before there was a small section of the store I could shop in. Now 2/3rds of the store I can shop in, often a couple of floors and several departments.
And, I REFUSE to go back to what I've always called "fat lady stores", where I've shopped since high school. Never again.

Me neither Pam!! I will *never* go into a fat lady store *ever*. I got a bunch of awesome coupons at Avenue, and I had to make myself throw them away. I will never need to shop there again, NEVER.
As far as shopping goes, I'm waiting to hit goal before I do too much. I am a single income family at the moment, so can't spend too much shopping, especially if I will be growing under them. But OH MAN, I can't wait!!! We've been hitting up Goodwill (they have clothes half off on Sundays) so I now have some pants that fit. Plus I'm now in a more common size so my girlfriends have been giving me pants & stuff (thank GOD for my girlfriends. I don't know what I would do w/out them!) What a journey this has been! I can't wait to hit a real store, though! It's so amazing to me to dress up in something cute and actually *feel* that what I'm wearing is cute!
Have a great weekend (what's left of it anyway!)
