Exercise/ Are you really
I have a confession and I am not proud of myself by the way.. I have not exercised once since my wls I did walk the 1st week to prevent blood clots but since nothing I had my surgery on July 15th and I have went from 350 to 219 and I look and feel much better but I am going to start my Richard Simmons tape tomorrow and get in the groove of it this is pitiful...does everbody else exercise all the time and if so what do you do/ I feel so ashamed....lol

Jess ~ I did not truly exercise until about a month or two ago. Now I am pretty faithful to do it everyday. For cardio I have a Gazzelle, and I will work out on that for like 30-45 minutes, and then I will do an Ab workout and some strength training as well as squats cuz I have NO booty. No reason to feel ashamed....a lot of people do not exercise after their surgery. Just realize that now with a lot of the weight gone you need to start toning up and that is what I hear you saying, so you are on the right path. Take care.

Jessie Please don't beat yourself up about exercise! We have all beaten ourselves up for to long about everything and that is one of the reasons you weighed 350 and I once weighed almost 300.. Just start small take a few walks a couple of nights a weeks.. Ride a bike like me! I hate the gym! I really do! So I do other things.. I walk when I can I bike around. And latley I have been staring at the pool trying to find the time to get to the store to buy a new swim suit that fits.. But i will start swimming agin.. when I'M Ready.. And when you know the time is right for you, you will pick up the pace of this exercising thing too. I think you have done an outstanding job you have lost a tremendous amount of weight so far, congratulations honey.. You are doing okay!..
Peace

Jess,
I didn't start exercising untill January. Now I go the the YMCA with a girl from work on our lunch hour. This is what I do: 2 miles on the eliptical which took me 20 minutes 40 seconds to do yesterday then I lift a few weights. I have to admit I am getting more out of the cardio right now so I don't lift too many weights yet but I know that I will need to add more of those. Working out has helped a lot! In January I lost 17 pounds of fat and in February I lost 7 pounds net but put on 3 pounds of muscle. I still sometimes have to force myself to go but I do feel so much better when I do. I didn't believe people who told me that before but now I understand. Having a work out buddy does help. HTH. Sorry this got so long!

You are one of the lucky ones who has had success without exercise. I for one, lose very slowly without it.
This is my routine and I am RELIGOUS about it:
Monday/Wed/Friday--Circuit training at the gym.
Mon-Sunday: I run for 45 minutes
That equally 6 hours and 45 minutes per week burning fat!!
I am about to change gyms b/c I need a personal trainer to tone up this flab!!
Don't be ashamed, just get out there and do something!!! I started by walking nightly. You don't have to be thin to start jogging-I think I was in the 230 range. You are losing at a good clip, but I bet that you would see even MORE results with some type of exercise program.
Good luck to you,
C
I am terrible I am a member of a gym that is within walking distance and I have only stepped inside 1 time since surgery, and I have people like my sons and neice that all go and try and get me moving but I always have a excuse and boy am I PAYING FOR IT!! with a very slow weight loss 65-70 pounds depending on when I weigh my self, and as gross as this is if I move to fast I can hear my arms flapping GROOOOSSSS, so I understand some people just HATE IT I would do anything to be one of the go getters but all we can do is make are self do something even if its parking far away at the store, any little bit will help so good luck to all of us Lisa MJ
