In Onederland at last!
198.6 lbs today, finally! I have had a bit of a stall, or more of a slowdown, I guess, for the past two months, losing less than 1 lb a week in Feb. Very frustrating considering my nearness to Onderland! Today was the first day I saw that beautiful 1 on the scale. The slowdown coincided with starting serious weight training and tapering off my diuretic. I'm hoping that my weight loss will speed up now.
I started at 299 lbs (BMI 54.7) two weeks before surgery, so this also marks 100 lbs lost from my highest weight. Yay! My current BMI is 36.3.
I feel so much better now than I did 7 and 1/2 months ago! I can do everything I used to enjoy but had to stop as I became progressively more disabled by obesity. Even camping sounds fun again!
I'm hoping to get to somewhere between 130 and 150 before I level out, with as much muscle as possible contributing to that weight. What do you guys think I should aim at for an average rate of weight loss from now on?
Congratulations!. I know how discouraging stalls can be. I have lost a total of 109 which is great-but only 11 of that has come off since Christmas. The loss stopped when I started going a mile a day on the treadmill. (Don't laugh-this is monumental for me. Before surgery I could only last 3 minutes).
Keep up th good work!

Franzizka, man you got that crazy z in there it drives me nuts!!! lol! Big congratulations on reaching the one'drs.. It feels wonderful dosen't it? I started at 290.. As far as setting a weekly weight loss goal I don't stress it.. It has been happening for me pretty consistently but there are times or weeks that it just dosen't.. I feel this way: I am doing all the right things following the four rules.. Protein
Water
Vitamins
Exercise
And I fiqure I can't not get to goal which would be 150 or 140.. I have lost 93 pounds so far.. If it stops today then this is all gravey.. no pun intended.. and I still did a good thing...
peace
