scared
I did not have the LAP-Band done, so I can not tellyou about the pain. I just wanted to offer you hugs and prayers that you would have a wonderful and uneventful journey. I am sure there is someone that can fill you in on what it would be like for fills. Hang in there and keep yyour chin up. It is perfectly natural and healthy to be scared.
Take care,
Nickie
Darlene,
I use to be afraid of needles too. Regardless of which wls proceedure that you have, needles are a big part of the process.
During our info seminar there was this young woman who weighed about 400+ lbs and desperately needed to have surgery. She decided not to go ahead with it because she too was afraid of needles. It made such an impact that a year and a half later, it still makes me sad.
You do what you have to do for the sake of your health. I am no longer afraid of them and strangely, I hardly feel them anymore. I had several shots that I literally didn't feel. The nurse had to tell me that she was done or I wouldn't have known it. I must have been poked 20 to 30 times by the time this whole process was done. It's just mind over matter.
I'm not trying to scare you.....I'm just saying that your fear will probably subside with a few "pokes".
Hang in there!!! Good luck to you in this journey!!
